The Billy is a well-designed and well-performing toy. It's a solid investment, and I still haven't gotten bored with it.

I hadn't used many anal toys before I bought the Billy. I'm not a sex toy expert, and I still don't own any other anal vibrators. And so keep in mind I'll be writing from this perspective. I love sex toys, but I'm relatively inexperienced. With the Billy, I was looking for an all purpose anal vibrator, one that I could use alone and with another, one that could satisfy me to the point that I wasn't biting at the bit to buy another anal toy a week (or a month) later. This toy I wanted to hold its own, taking care of my ass to the point that I could not daydream about another toy.

I had some lofty expectations, and I would never say the Billy has been a disappointment. I will say, however, that I have since purchased the Njoy Pure Plug to compliment the Billy. Although the Billy is wonderful for a good many tasks, it doesn't do all that well without a hand moving it or holding it still. So for those times when I just want to slip something in my ass without focusing on the area, I use the plug. So let me admit first off that the Billy cannot do everything (but perhaps only I would be so idealistic)! The Billy certainly excels in most areas, primarily in my opinion when you really just want to focus on the ass. And, really, it deserves the attention; with the Billy lying around, it might just get a little bit of what it deserves.

Some aspects of Lelo products seem to me difficult to critique, and the material fits in this category. The 100% silicone feels lovely to the touch, cleans well, and I'd be hard pressed to find another material I'd rather fuck myself with.

I will make one note about the color, although this is surely a subjective call. I bought the blue, but I now feel that it's not as intense as a black toy would be and not as luscious as the burgundy Billy that is also available. I will never have a chance now to look down and see that gorgeous burgundy Billy, so if you're on the fence, I'll put a vote in for burgundy. Then I'll envy you.

The Billy seems to me relatively small, but that's okay. Once you start turning up the vibrations, it begins to feel quite a bit larger. For me, this is the best of both worlds: easy to slide in, difficult to ignore. The gentle curve is aesthetically (and physically) pleasing, and the beautiful simplicity of the Billy is an easily-overlooked strength. The toy simply feels well-balanced when you're holding it by the handle.

Make no mistake, the Billy performs. It performs with style and in plenty of modes and speeds. It feels great, and the vibrations can be set to be pretty darn powerful. I've never had a problem operating the buttons, nor have I accidentally pressed them.

Although the Billy can certainly be used alone or with a partner, in my opinion it is at its best when it's not simply left to vibrate while other areas are focused on. So, when I'm alone, I only use the Billy when I want to dedicate a hand to it. Similarly, when I'm with her, it works best when that area is the focus of attention. Otherwise, a plug is easier to work with.

Nevertheless, a plug really couldn't substitute for the Billy. I'm not sure that anything could. It's a quality product, and quite possibly your best bet for all-purpose anal play. It just feels great, and that's what it's all about, isn't it?

The insertable part of Billy is, of course, 100% silicone. Water-based lube is a must, and cleaning it afterward is a cinch. Charging is simple, and I feel like I go weeks at a time without needing to plug it in.

The packaging is as expected from Lelo. The box it comes in is quite large, but it's stylish enough that you'll probably want to use it for storage. No complaints here! Warranty and instruction booklet, as usual.

When I found the Billy and decided to plan on buying it, it spurred a wonderful period for me when my girlfriend and I would talk eagerly about a "vibrator for me." The Billy for me provides a really unique and pleasing addition to our sex life. It's not something we use as often as her Lelos, and that's quite all right with me. But once in a while, when she pulls out the Billy, I know I'll soon be feeling appreciated and loved in a special way. For me, then, it's been more of a couples toy, and one for the quiet, loving nights, rather than the try-everything ultra-stimulating nights.

While I may initially have been looking for the all-purpose anal vibrator that would provide endless physical pleasure, I ended up finding a vibrator for a more particular occasion, but one that I appreciate immensely. Endless physical pleasure has been subsumed by a more emotive combination of pleasures. I love the Billy.

We use the Billy strictly for my ass, with some dancing around during foreplay just because Lelo silicone feels pretty good vibrating anywhere. We both enjoy it, and the Billy's really making us look forward to the time when we have the money to purchase some quality strap on pieces. We want to make sure we do it right, after all!
