G-spot strap-on dildo discontinued
by Pleasure Works

Amazing and versatile, Pleasure Works sure works!

The Riley is one nice dildo, made of great materials and at a fair price. While the bullet isn't the best, it is easily replaced. and is more than made up for by the other features of this toy. Anal safe, harness compatible, and great for G-spot play, this toy will be nice for anyone who wants a midsized toy with a bit of added oomph.

Use

The Riley by Pleasure Works is a vibrating dildo. A vibrating dildo is different than a vibrator, as instead of having a built in motor, it has a place for a bullet to be inserted into the base of the shaft.

This toy is mainly intended to be used for internal stimulation. The curve and wide tip make it great for G-spot stimulation, and the smooth shaft makes it easy to thrust. It's also long enough that it should be able to reach your G-spot, no matter how shallow or deep it is.

While this toy CAN be used externally, the dildo doesn't carry the vibrations well enough for it to do much. You can remove the bullet and use it externally while you use the dildo internally, but it may be better to find another toy for that use.

This toy is entirely anal safe because of the large, flared base. This keeps it from getting stuck inside of you, and also makes it easy to hold. The curve and shape also make it great for prostate stimulation.

If you're looking for a toy to introduce into a relationship, this would be okay. It's a bit expensive, but it is fair for the quality. If you're used to penetration and don't mind that it doesn't have much oomph, this is a nice material and reasonable size for a lot of different uses.

If you need a first toy in general, something more versatile may be best. A cheaper toy that can be used for clitoral vibration and G-spot thrusting would help a newbie figure out what they like, but if you know you want something of this size, I would recommend this dildo.

This toy is 100% fine to use in the dorms or if you live in close quarters to someone else. It's quiet, waterproof, and easy to care for, though it is a bit big to keep stashed under your pillow.

Material / Texture

This toy is made of soft, colorful silicone, but the bullet is made of black plastic. Plastic is rated an 8 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale, and silicone is rated a 10 out of 10.

Silicone is body safe and nonporous. This means that bacteria can't get inside the surface of the material and thrive, and also that it doesn't contain any dangerous chemicals that can leak into your body during use. Silicone is a fairly flexible material, and it also tends to feel a bit 'tacky' and pick up lint and gunk from where you store it.

Plastic is also nonporous and body safe. While silicone is very plush and flexible, plastic is entirely rigid. No part of the bullet has any give at all to it. The bullet has almost no drag to it at all, and it also is not a lint magnet.

If you want to disinfect this toy, you wipe the entire thing down with a 10% bleach solution, which won't harm the plastic or silicone material, or you can just wipe the bullet down with bleach and then boil the toy itself. The bullet shouldn't be boiled because the plastic can melt. Either way, this toy should be disinfected every time you switch partners or orifices to prevent the spread of infection.

This toy is less 'tacky' than Tantus silicone, but is a bit more of a lint magnet than Zini or Jopen silicone. It does have quite a bit of drag, so adding a few drops of lube would help your play time go more smoothly.

The material is quite flexible, and it has a bit of give to it. The tip can easily be bent to meet the base of the toy. Even though it's flexible, it's not hard to get G-spot stimulation because of the curve and bulged head.

If you're a fan of silicone toys, this is one of the few dildos in this size range that offers slight flexibility, while still being great at G-spot stimulation. The flexibility also makes it harder to bruise yourself or a partner in the heat of the moment.

Design / Shape / Size

The Riley is a great in the middle toy: it's in between the larger and smaller dildos you can find, and it's in the middle between realistic and abstract in design.

This toy is 8 inches long in total, with 7 of those inches being insertable. This toy is also 4.5 inches around at the widest point, but the majority of the shaft is much thinner than that. This toy is a bit longer than the average penis, but is similar in girth and design. If your partner has size envy issues, this may be a bit of a problem, but it's not super large.

In terms of the actual design, this toy is slightly realistic, to the point where it has a similar feel to a penis inside of you, but it's also not phallic enough to 'gross out' people who don't want to get off with something that looks like a chopped off piece of anatomy. It's a nice middle ground that most people will be pleased with.

If you're looking to get into pegging or harness use and want to have a 'real penis,' this may not help with your fantasy. On top of being blue, it has no veining or balls.

The base is fairly thin, so it shouldn't be a problem to fit into most harnesses as far as depth goes. It also is fairly easy to flex in half. The base makes it totally anal safe, for those who are so inclined, but it's a bit long to be used as a plug.

There is a curve to this toy, and it does help with G-spot stimulation, but if you're a fan or firm materials or extreme curves, this may not be for you. It has a firm-but-natural feeling when thrust, and is easy to use to target your G-spot.

If left out, this for sure looks like a sex toy. There aren't even any appliances you can pass it off as, so I'd recommend keeping it hidden away. While it's not the worst toy to travel with, it's also not the best. On top of picking up lint, this wouldn't be a nice shape to toss into a purse or small bag, but would be at home in a suitcase or back pack.

In total, this is a great toy for people who like medium sized toys. It's smaller than many dildos, and actually has a thinner diameter than most companies offer, but it has a nice curve, attractive design, and is long enough to reach most people's G-spots.

Performance

The bullet that comes with this toy is okay, but pretty much any other bullet this size would work just as well, if not better. It may be a good idea to get something to replace the bullet with, as there are many better things out there.

As far as settings go, this bullet does not aim to impress. It has one setting and is controlled by the button on the base of the toy. You press it once to turn it on, and again to turn it off. There are no varying intensities or patterns, which is the main reason it might be best to get something else to go with your Riley.

Out of the toy, the bullet comes in at a high 2 vrooms and a high 2 bees. When inserted into the Riley, it's a low 2 bees and low 2 vrooms. The bullet feels very topical and buzzy outside of the toy, but inside it's hard to tell because it's through the thick silicone.

The shaft of the toy, where this bullet is inserted, is VERY deeply indented. This is both a pro and a con. It is very deep, meaning that you can ride this toy or put it into a harness without having the button get constantly pushed. On the other hand, this makes the bullet hard to get out, so use lube when you insert it the first time to make it easier in the future.

As far as performance as a dildo, this toy works well. It works great for vaginal and anal thrusting, though many people may want to use a good water-based lube for both. It's great to use in a harness, for pegging or otherwise, but may not be a good idea for packing. This toy also doesn't have a base that works well as a suction cup.

In total, the bullet may be lacking in functions, but the dildo isn't. A new bullet may be needed to spice this toy up once you get used to the one it comes with, but it's a very standard size and shouldn't be hard to find a replacement.

Care and Maintenance

As it's silicone, this toy is easy to care for and should last a very long time. It is a bit of a lint magnet, so washing it both before and after use is highly recommended, just to make sure it's nice and clean. There are no grooves or seams that are tough to clean. You can wash this toy with an antibacterial toy cleaner, soap and water, or you can wipe it down with an Eden Toy Wipe (though you may need more than one, depending on how linty it is).

You can also disinfect this toy in two ways. You can wash the entire thing in a 10% bleach solution, or you can wash the bullet in bleach and boil the dildo. The dildo is also dishwasher safe. One of these should be done every time you switch orifices or users to prevent the spread of bacteria and infection.

You should avoid storing this toy in contact with other silicone (or silicone containing) toys. The two materials could react together and leave them damaged. Along the same lines, you should avoid using this toy with silicone based lubricants.

Packaging

The packaging for the Riley is minimal, but is tasteful, informative, and feels like it contains a high quality toy, even though it's not as expensive to feel and look at as the luxury brands packaging. It's made of fairly thin cardboard.

The front of the box is an image of the toy on a purple background. It also states the name of the toy, that it's a vibrating dildo, and that it's silicone. The purple portion has a small swirly design on it, but there are no other images.

The sides of the box contain a few points of basic information. They talk about the benefits of silicone, how this toy is safe for harness and anal play, that it's waterproof, has recyclable packaging, and is made in the USA. It has no images, just dark green text on a light green background.

The back of the toy has the exact measurements in inches, a few more (repeated) points about the toy, and an image of the toy on a white background. This packaging has no lewd images on it or sayings, which is great.

While it is informative, the packaging isn't the best for storage. It's larger than the toy itself, not super sturdy, and a bit hard to close. It would be great to wrap up and give as a gift.

Experience

When I saw the Riley, I knew I had to have it. I had never tried anything from Pleasure Works before, but had heard good things about the brand. On top of that, it was the perfect girth for me, blue, and silicone.

As soon as I got this toy, I knew that waiting for a nice assignment was worth it. It feels amazing both in the hand and when thrust on my G-spot. While this may not take the place of my Fun Factory Bandito, this new brand is giving Tantus a run for their money in my toy box ranking.

A few things that I really enjoy about this toy: it passed the 'flame test' (to see how pure the silicone is) with flying colors, it's just flexible enough to not catch my pubic bone or cause discomfort, and when you 'ride' it, the bullet button doesn't constantly get pressed.

The main two problems I have are the less-than-stellar bullet and the way that the material holds lint. While it's easy enough to wash this before and after each use, it took more than an Eden wipe to clean it up after I dropped it under my desk. I also have plenty of bullets to replace the one it came with, but I would even be okay paying more for a stronger bullet with more settings.

In total, this is a 4.5 star toy, but I am rounding up because of the low price, nice design, and great material. I would recommend this to people who want a mid size toy with a bit of vroom to it, but it's not for people who are looking for a strong vibrator.
