Anal Adventures

I bought mine as an entry level anal toy, only to find it has a permanent place in my toy box, easy to clean and store.
Published: February 8, 2010
Pros:
Graduated sizes, flared base.
Cons:
The odor, not overpowering, but there. Should not be shared.

somewhat useful review
The crystal jellies anal toy is made from jelly, and cannot be sterilized in boiling water, and should be kept out of the microwave as well. It is somewhat rigid, pliable and soft with no sharp edges, all good features for beginning anal play. It is difficult to find anal toys that are firm, yet pliable and soft. This one is all of these desired features. I use a silicone lubricant, and plenty of it too, I believe there is no such thing as too much lube. It may take a few attempts to get it all the way in, or most of the way in, but when inserted fully it will stimulate the prostate, and repeated attempts can generate fluid flow, the pre-cum.

There seems to be a bit of an odor, but I feel it will dissipate over time, and not be an issue. The odor is not overpowering, just noticeable. I think the odor is best described as rubbery. I made the mistake of tossing the box, I would suggest you keep your for storage, this may help with the odor.

While it appears to have a suction base, it will not stay on the shower wall and is best used in an upright position. Being waterproof it is an ideal toy for shower or bathtub use. And the different size "balls" making up the shaft, one can penetrate as far as the comfort level will permit, and over time full penetration is possible. One of the best features is the flared base, allowing full penetration without "losing" the toy, and allowing the anus to constrict and hold the toy in place.

I clean mine up with plain soap and water, I spray it with toy cleaner, and let it "air dry" overnight on the dresser. This one travels easily, but like all sex toys should never be taken in a carry-on, I put all my toys in the checked baggage, and have never had any issues with TSA.

It is a shame about the odor of the toy, I think these companies really need to try to figure it out.

I like the design of this - I just wish it was a different material.

It is a good idea, just need to be better material, and something needs to be done about the odor. Thanks for the comments...

  • Jelly or Sil-A-Gel?
    • Does anyone know for sure if this toy is made of Jelly or Sil-A-Gel? One of my students is doing a review of this item and he says that the package states that (despite the name) the toy is made of Sil-A-Gel, which is different from Jelly. I just want to make sure that he gets the correct information in the review and that we have the right material in the description on EF! :) Thanks!

Sil-A-Gel is added to material, not a material by itself. So it is both. :) I would link both material pages in the review. I feel it is best to go with packaging info when in doubt. The manufacturer does not always let EF know when a change in materials has been made.
