Best Choice for Beginners

This set is the best I have found for those curious about anal play. The toys provide an excellent variety of sensations with a safe material and large suction cup bases. While not intense, they give you enough experience to leave you wanting more, and knowing exactly what you want.

Use

The Beginner Anal Kit provides an excellent variety of sensations for its price and is formed from an extremely safe material. It truly seems to be the best introduction for those interested in anal play.

A few features:
-Three different toys that help you to explore length, girth, and texture.
-Silicone for safety, water-proof shower time, or even temperature play, as the material maintains heat well.
-Harness-compatibility.
-VERY strong suction cups for shower play or other experimentation. One could experiment with suctioning the ends of the plugs together, and partners could be penetrated at the same time by thrusting as if it were a double dong, although I question as to whether the toys are long enough to do that.
-Vaginal use. Some may feel more comfortable vaginally familiarizing themselves with the shape of the toy first, so they can better imagine what it will feel like when inserted anally. It is also possible to use double penetration with these, although a condom should always be used and changed when switching between vaginal and anal play.

Material / Texture

These are advertized as being made of silicone, one of the safest materials out there for sex toys. However, when I performed the flame test against them (as shown in the video), the flame left black carbon marks. The marks were easily wiped away with virtually no damage to the plugs, although the heated area was left VERY MILDLY sticky for a short time. This indicates that these toys may be a silicone blend or coated in a sort of silicone-soft-touch type of material. Either way, the toys seem to be made primarily of silicone and are still latex-free and phthalate-free. It’s just that you should consider taking added precautions, even though the plugs are supposed to be completely sterilizable, by boiling the toys often and using condoms if sharing. Additionally, only water based lubes should be used on these because silicone lubes can degrade the toys, and oil-based lubes can clog the walls of your colon.

The actual insertable texture is very soft and smooth, almost velvety, while the suction cup base bottoms are completely slick for optimum sticking-power. They’re made of hard silicone, meaning they aren’t very easily compressed. However, they are still pretty bendy, especially at the thinner parts of the toys.

They have small seams, which are not noticeable upon insertion. They also pick up some lint, but are not as linty as I expected.

Design / Shape / Size

These toys come in three different shapes, but all are similar sizes. They are all 4-5” in length and about 3.5” inches in circumference. Every plug ends in a flared, 3” wide, suction cup base. None appear realistic. This overall design makes them excellent for travel, since they are small, relatively lint-free, unusually shaped, and won't get you stopped by a metal detector. They are moderately discreet, due to their unusual shape, but could definitely still be recognized as sex toys after a moment of confusion.

The first one reminds me of a purple unicorn horn. With a 5” long curved shaft, it is the longest of the three plugs. It is also very thin, as the tip starts out smaller than my pinky and works its way up to a circumference of just under 3.5 inches. There is a small bulb between the taper and the base, I guess for added texture, but it isn’t super noticeable nor does it lock the plug in place when fully inserted. Since it is the thinnest, it is also the bendiest.

The second plug is pink! It is four inches tall, about 3.5” in circumference. It begins with a curved tip that’s about the size of my pinky, and continues to three bulbs straight down the shaft. All bulbs are the same width. The first bulb is pretty circular, the second is elongated, and the third is short and squished. All the bulbs are connected, more like a probe than anal beads.

The last one is black and shaped like a banana, as another reviewer stated. It is four inches tall, and starts out with the circumference of a pinky. It tapers up to 3.5” very quickly. This relatively wide circumference is maintained all the way down the shaft until just before the base, where it immediately becomes approximately 3” in circumference. It is the least bendy of the three toys.

Performance

Purple
This seems to be best used just as an introduction. It was the least intimidating of the three because it was the thinnest and most flexible. It helps you get used to the feeling of anal penetration before you move on to other sensations. It may also help you to figure out if you would like to explore lengthier items, versus wider ones, in the future.

Pink
This one has lots of texture. This one works best with slow to moderate-speed thrusting and is VERY good at stimulating the many nerves around the opening of the anus. Additionally, the small angled tip can indirectly stimulate the wall of the vagina if you angle it towards the front of your body. This one was my favorite.

Black
This toy is best used as a traditional plug, as it provides the most feeling of fullness out of the three toys. It is the least likely to fall out while stimulating other areas and is thus the best for dual penetration. The black one is the least bendable, too, so it can provide the most indirect pressure on the vaginal wall if the curve is angled toward the front of the body.

Suction Cup
These suction cups are VERY strong. Stick them to any smooth surface, and you will actually have trouble removing them. Thus, you can play as rough as you want, and not risk the toy becoming unattached.
Note: they only stick to smooth surfaces, so if your wall or bedside table have a little texture, you will probably have some trouble.
    • Comfortable
    • Easy to use
    • Lots of variety in function

Care and Maintenance

They are very easy to care for. Sterilize the toys by boiling them for three minutes, putting them in the top part of your dish washer, or wiping them with a 5% alcohol or bleach solution. Can be cleaned, but not sterilized, with warm soap and water or a toy cleaner.

Once again, don’t use silicone-based lubes, and oil-based lubes should be avoided simply because they can clog the walls of your colon. Water-based only!
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

Eden was very discreet in the way they shipped the product. It came in a plain cardboard box with thick paper inside to protect the toys from banging around. There was no information listed about the company name or anything that could reveal the contents.

The non-mail packaging was one clear plastic bag that stated the name of the toy and that it came from EdenFantasys. It also included basic use and care information. It’s totally clear, so the non-shipping packaging isn’t discreet at all. You couldn’t keep it out in the open, and would need to wrap it if you were giving it as a gift. I personally have been using the original packaging to store them, but the little plastic baggy will probably fall apart before long.

Additionally, as another reviewer stated, they come in a package where they’re all just thrown in together. You’re not supposed to store silicone toys so that they touch, because they could melt together. This has not been a problem so far and wasn’t a problem when it took me two weeks to get around to checking my mail, but you should keep an eye out for any signs of melting if you keep them together.
    • Minimal
    • Not discreet
    • Recyclable

Experience

In the end, this toy is the best I have found for beginners, due to its variety of sensations and safe material. While the sensations of the toys themselves are not intense, they let you know which kinds of sensations you DO like and leave you wanting to explore more.
Follow-up commentary
I still use these one occasion, although I'm now more interesting in thicker, less flexible toys. I continue to think that this set is an excellent introduction to anal play.
