Big on pleasure, small on wearability

Other than the slippage issue, the Lil' End is the perfect beginner's butt plug. If that is not a big deal to you, I would definitely say go for it. But if so, I would look elsewhere.

Use

I was looking for an all-around first butt plug; one that would provide pleasure without being too painful, and work for extended use. The Lil' End was the perfect size for my largely-untrained ass, but unfortunately failed on the second requirement. While this is an excellent starter plug for beginners, more experienced users will want to look elsewhere. And forget about wearing it out in public-it won't even stay in for a few minutes on its own. For me, this was a major disappointment. I will now be seeking out a plug that I can use without applying constant pressure (a big pain in the butt!) On the plus size, the base is plenty wide enough that you don't have to worry about making any embarrassing E.R. trips.

Material / Texture

Silicone is wonderful for beginners, being more forgiving than glass or metal. The toy itself is very 'bendy' and flexible. I can't see anyone hurting themselves with this toy-unless they didn't use lube of course-but why would you do that? It does have a very SLIGHT odor out of the packaging, but since it is pthalate-free I didn't worry about it.

Design / Shape / Size

The design feels great and it's a good size for beginners, BUT the huge caveat was that it does not stay in. I'm not sure what aspect of the design causes this, since there are other small plugs that stay in just fine.

Performance

It should be comfortable for any beginner user, but I imagine it could be outgrown fairly quickly. Even so, it would still be a great warm-up toy before using a larger plug or having anal sex. I have not tried riding the toy (it's very small so there's not much to ride!) but the suction base is fairly strong, so it should work. Oh, and it definitely looks like a butt plug, so forget about leaving it on the counter and trying to pass it off as "artwork."

Care and Maintenance

The non-porous silicone is hygienic and easy to clean. It can be washed with soap and warm water, sprayed with toy cleaner, or tossed in the dishwasher (if you're so inclined.) Most of us know that silicone + silicone does not mix-water-based lubes only! It does have a fair amount of drag as do most silicone toys, so you will need a lot of lube.

Packaging

The packaging is average at best, but I didn't buy the toy for the packaging. You might want to invest in a pouch or a small makeup bag to store, to keep dust and lint off and separate it from your other silicone toys.

Follow-up commentary
Initially, I was disappointed by this plug because it pops out so darn easily. I still am disappointed in that...BUT it's been a great plug size-wise for warming me up for the Gold-Laced G or my mans dick. For that reason, and because good quality plugs are hard to find for such a great price, I don't regret this purchase.
