The Royal Intruder by SSA Glass is best used to stimulate yourself anally. It works well for preparing to have anal sex with a partner or with a girthier toy on your own. This plug can be used vaginally as well but it will not do much in the way of thrusting since it is not very long.

G-spotters and size queens will want to look elsewhere due to its smaller size and people who prefer softer materials for their sex toys will not be happy with this either. However, the size and material are perfect for beginners to anal plugs because just a small amount of lubricant on glass makes it extra slippery and easy to insert.

This plug can be used by couples as foreplay or during sex for some double penetration and you can use it on your own for some solo fun. Being that it's an anal toy, it's perfect for both men and women who enjoy anal stimulation.

The Royal Intruder is also great for temperature since it can be warmed up or cooled down in warm or iced water before using. As always with glass, be cautious if thrusting with it to avoid injury.

Being made from Pyrex glass earns this anal plug a 10/10 safety rating on the Eden materials safety scale. Glass is also food-grade material, hypo-allergenic, latex- and phthalates-free and non-porous. It is a hard, unforgiving and smooth material. In this case the plug is bulged to add a bit of texture, has a flat base for safety and only comes in the cobalt blue color. Glass is great for temperature play and is totally waterproof and sterilizable making cleanup a snap.

There was no odor upon opening the packaging and it doesn't grab terribly on skin so only a little lubricant is needed. Silicone, water-based or oil lubricants can be used with glass since there's no worry about degrading the material.

The plug has a tapered tear drop shape on top followed by a bulged sphere underneath it, the slimmer neck and then the flared base on the bottom to prevent it from slipping inside and getting lost. Measurements are as follows:

Teardrop: 2 1/4" long, 1 1/4" in diameter
Slims down to: 7/8" diameter
Bulged Sphere: 7/8" long, 1 1/4" in diameter
Neck: 7/8" diameter
Flared base: 1 3/4" wide, 3/4" tall

There are no gaps or seams but there are some tiny bubble inclusions in the tip of this particular plug. They do not affect its use in any way and cannot be felt during use.

As a plug this one was not bad but the neck could use to be longer to keep this plug from wanting to slide out right away. It really was not designed with extended wear in mind because of the small neck but also because the flared base is not much wider than the plug's full diameter. This makes it unsafe to use unless you tie some kind of makeshift retrieval cord around the neck so you can keep a hold of it and it will not get sucked into your anal cavity. Just a bit of thick waxed cord will do nicely when tied into a loop.

Wash the Royal Intruder with warm water and antibacterial soap or toy cleaner or wipe it down with toy wipes. You can sterilize the plug by boiling it for three minutes, putting it in the top rack of the dishwasher with no detergent or by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution. Just be sure you rinse it off thoroughly so you don't introduce bleach to delicate body areas.

The plug came with a red velvet drawstring storage pouch but it is not padded. You can use it for storing the plug as long as you keep the bubble wrap that came with it, otherwise it is suggested to purchase a toy pouch or you could even make one yourself if you're crafty. After padding it just store the plug with all your other toys.

The Royal Intruder came wrapped in bubble wrap inside a red velvet drawstring bag. It is very minimal but very discreet since it's not see through at all. It could definitely be used for storage if you keep the bubble wrap for padding and it's not really necessary to wrap this before gifting.

There were no booklets, instructions or warranties included in the packaging but it is a straightforward kind of toy so they're not really needed.

Love the color of this plug but don't love the small base.

Using this plug is easy enough but to be honest I just don't feel safe using it without some kind of retrieval cord on it. I tied one on and used it that way and it wasn't too bad but it wasn't really all that special either. Sadly I don't think this plug will see much use since it lacks a wider base and a longer neck to keep it in place.
