The most obvious use for Ziggy is as an anal plug. Yet, this glass toy is so much more fun than just its boxed-in intended function! Want to use Ziggy as an anal plug? Go ahead. Just remember that it can be satisfying vaginally as well. Oh, and then there's the temperature play. Warming or cooling this item can change the entire play session. Do you have a glass collection? Ziggy's emerald green deserves to be put on display. Then, the texture of the tiered bubbles allows for the bumps to be run over any sensitive area for stimulation as well. Ziggy is a good sex partner because Ziggy doesn't just do one kind of sex.

I did see js250 recommend this item as a Kegel exerciser, and so I will also recommend this (though I give complete credit to her genius). Glass is a little heavier, which some might enjoy for this use. I own the Energie Kegel exerciser, and I enjoy that it is fairly heavy.

Ziggy is made of borosilicate glass...also called pyrex or tempered glass. This particular kind of glass is less susceptible to breaking, and when it does break, it breaks into chunks versus shards. This material is a 10/10 on the safety scale. It is also non-porous.

Glass has no smell or taste, and it is smooth and rigid. Generally speaking, glass is not the best material for a beginner because if it is thrust too roughly, it can bruise the cervix. However, glass is also easily lubricated, so it may be less intimidating than some materials that have more drag.

One of the best features of glass is that it holds heat and cold well. With some exceptions (such as toys that are actually heated), glass is the main material for temperature play. If warming, place in a bowl of warm water, and test the temperature (maybe on the wrist) to avoid burning sensitive areas. When chilling the toy, I recommend not putting it in the freezer. Extreme temperature changes (such as going from freezing to body temp) may put stress on the toy.

Ziggy is a bumpy toy, as there are three balls of advancing sizes. However, there are no ridges or patterns on this toy. Ziggy has no curve. The only area in which I might prefer some additional texture is on the base. Unfortunately, when glass is lubricated (and I'd imagine many lubricate even glass anal toys), it becomes incredibly slippery. When the base becomes slippery, removal can be an issue...especially when that base is smooth and untextured.

I think that Ziggy's size is suitable for the average user. I personally would have enjoyed just a little more girth. Still, the three different sizes of the balls excited me. Once that last ball pops in, it's a very satisfying feeling. I'm also in love with Ziggy's color. Ziggy does not have a realistic look, but the plug can travel. Simply pack Ziggy in its original packaging including the bubble wrap, and place it somewhere in the center of luggage to avoid breakage.

I believe that Ziggy performs well at its intended function. The gradual increase in size of the balls allows for the experience of feeling fuller, yet it makes it easy to insert Ziggy without becoming uncomfortable. The plug stays put even when walking around with it in or when experiencing vaginal penetration by a partner with it in. Just remember that your partner must use caution when thrusting so as to not encounter the rigidity of Ziggy through the vaginal wall. Finally, the base is large enough that I do not worry about it being pushed in.

Ziggy is compatible with oil, silicone, and water-based lubricants. I was slightly confused on the material page when it was suggested that condoms be used if sharing this item with a partner. If you do not sterilize this item, use condoms when sharing. However, this item can be sterilized rather easily. Ziggy can be boiled, can be placed on the top rack of the dishwasher, and also it can be cleaned with a 10% bleach solution. Glass may be the easiest material to clean...soap and water, toy wipes, foams, etc. can all be used. This item has no ridges or texture that requires special detailed cleaning. Storage is also pretty basic. I have only had a few glass toys that didn't come with the ever-common red velvet drawstring bag. The item is wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed inside. For good measure, I knot the drawstring up next to the bag to keep the item from falling out.

The packaging is pretty uniform for many of the glass toys on EF. There are no instructions, as the toy is fairly self-explanatory. I'm not sure that I would say that the bag is nice enough to use alone when gifting. I'm much happier with the padded bags offered by Eden versus the bubble wrap and thin material of the bag included with Ziggy. However, even changing the color of these bags would make a big difference to me. The red is a little stale.
