Crystal jellies butt plug - anal toy by Doc Johnson - review by A.B.

This medium sized Crystal Jellies Butt Plug is my first purchased anal toy, although I've used similar toys before. Medium sized plugs are great for the patient anal beginner, but they're also perfectly satisfying if you're already a complete aficionado.

At its widest point, the plug has a diameter of roughly one and a half inches (four centimeters), and it is five inches (13.5 centimeters) long from tip to base. For someone who's just starting out, however, there are smaller plugs that might be better for the first couple times. One and a half inches is nothing to sneeze at.

I awaited the arrival of my plug with both anticipation and apprehension, as it had been over a year since I last had any kind of anal play at all. Once I finally got the guts to try it out, I went slowly, allowed myself time to adjust, and added a generous dab of Astroglide as well. The jelly material seems to make entry easier than other harder toys, and the plug has some give to it that puts less stress on the sphincter muscles.

Even only halfway in, I was already feeling that wonderful deep sensation that comes from anal penetration. I needed very little extra stimulation to take me over the edge once the plug was in all the way.

Overall, I had an extremely satisfying first experience with the Crystal Jellies Butt Plug. It is a very simple toy with a very simple purpose and nothing extraneous to distract from that. And, physical enjoyment aside, the translucent pink hue of the color I chose (pink and clear being the two options) is very appealing. This plug is also nicely sized to warm you up for larger plugs and for your partner to take the plunge later.

Of course, for any toy but for anal toys in particular, clean up is important. Jelly toys are more porous and should be cleaned very thoroughly with warm water and soap after each use.
