Gum drop slick - vibrating anal plug discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by PassionQT

The Gum Drop Slick vibrating butt plug from Doc Johnson is a good, non-intimidating size for a beginner's anal stimulation toy, mainly because it's no larger than putting a finger in there. For what you get though, it's a tad overpriced. Using it in addition to other toys for some dual stimulation would make for a fun time, or just keep it in while having intercourse with a partner. It comes in green or pink and can be used by either a man or a woman.

The transparent material is a phthalate free PVC, which feels somewhat like rubber, but is much more durable, less porous, and longer-lasting. It's soft enough to be comfortable to leave in for extended periods of time. The surface is shiny with some grab, but can be cleaned very easily. Unfortunately, it does have a bit of a smell to it when new. The mini-bullet is made of plastic.

The overall size is very small, with only about 2.5 inches of insertability and a diameter that isn't very filling at all (.75 inches); however for a nervous novice, it will probably be just right. The bulb is tapered and seamless. A 2.5 inch by 3/4" flexible flared base ensures it from getting lost in the anal cavity, as it rests comfortably between the butt cheeks.

The removable mini bullet uses three watch-size batteries that give it a good buzz, but nothing amazing. Unfortunately, the vibrations are most strongly felt near the flared base, but not so much in the tip. The overall construction of the bullet is cheap, right down to the little plastic loop, that with one simple twist, powers it on. In fact, on the unit I received, I could keep twisting it in circles, turning it on and off over an over again. Adjustable speed? Where? Perhaps I just received a dud. It worked, but mine only had one speed...high, which is what I would have used anyhow. So in all truth, a low speed for this toy would probably go unnoticed anyhow.

Be sure to remove the black piece of paper over the batteries before the first use so it's operational. The easiest way to do so is just to shake out the batteries, then reload them, as there's no tab to grab on the black paper.

A thorough cleaning can be done by removing the bullet and washing the plug in warm water and antibacterial soap. This could be easily stored in a small plastic bag with a bit of cornstarch to prevent it from sticking. The box it comes in is cheap and the directions are just universal ones for use with an array of battery operated toys.

Again, great for beginners, but I prefer something a little larger, not to mention with a more reliable vibrating bullet. Even on high, this didn't even get a moan out of me. It's definitely more suitable to those new, not to mention nervous, about anal exploration. Trust me, there's NOTHING to be afraid of here!

Much too narrow, short, and weak for my tastes, but it may be perfect for a beginner. There are better anal toys out there for certain, so I suggest you keep looking unless you find this one just right.
