somewhat useful review
I would not recommend this toy to beginners, it is bigger for the more experience and those ready for more excitement. Easy clean up and no smell make it a plus. It stays in place vaginally and anally. This is great for couple play and is just amazing for single play alone or with more toys.

First off if you have never experienced anal sex I would not suggest this for beginners, male or female. You want to start off small and go slow in this area of the body.
Now that is out, the Doc Johnson plug is a great plug for those who are experienced and ready for the next level of pleasure. By looking at it, at first I thought I bit off more than I could chew. Experience
The best way that my boyfriend and I use this toy is doggy style for DP. The plug is for anal and in that position the plug is pushing down on him, so it makes me a little smaller or tighter, to give him an even bigger orgasm. But for some excitement I’ll put it in and keep it in, and walk around the house with it in, wow that is even amazing.

I am still very, highly satisfied with this plug. It is perfect for DP and single play. It stays in place for transitioning. I have a smile on my face just talking about it. I'm still very very satisfied with this product, and it will always make a dull make out session a party session.

Also, can someone actually take a tape measure and confirm the circumfrence? At this size even a quarter inch makes a difference. -

The picture you've linked is the old style. It was significantly larger than the new one, and had a very flimsy base that has been known to fold up and follow the rest of the toy in to your bum.
As far as I know, you can't find the old one online. Vendor's simply haven't updated the pictures, but it's identical to the white one (which seems to be updated more frequently).
The current model is somewhere between 2, to 2.25" in diameter. It's no where near 2.5"
I was an original owner of the larger model, but was never able to accommodate it's entire girth (I swear it was well over 2.5"). I ended up tossing it during a move, without realizing that it's impossible to find anymore. The new version just doesn't live up to the original, but the sturdy base is a welcomed improvement.
