Gumdrops double bubble - butt plug discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by chantalgiardina

While I love anal play, I don't have much experience with butt plugs as this is only my second one. I love the color options and the unique look. The unique shape is what convinced me to get this toy.



The toy does have a slight odor. The odor is not strong and you can only smell it up close. It's soft and flexible. You can bend this toy very easily, but the toy will go back to its original state once released. I do not recommend this toy for beginners due to the very large size.



I love the unique shape to the double bubble.It is 4 5/8" tall with 4 1/4" of which is insertable. It is made of two bubbles that have a diameter of 1 1/2" and 2 1/4". The top part has a rounded point that tapers. It's followed by a much larger bubble that is followed by the 3" x 1 1/8" base of the toy. The shape is unique and fun, which sets it apart from other plugs. The base is flexible and small compared to the toy and provides enough support for the toy.

At first sight, my biggest disappointment in this toy is that it lacks a neck, which means your muscles won't close down behind that second bubble. This will make the toy hard to stay in place and you will have to clench to hold it in place rather than relaxing and enjoying the toy fully. The flexible base is actually too flexible in a sense. It's a little flimsy and bends a lot when trying to remove the toy.

Material/Maintenance/Storage



Double bubble is made of PVC, which ranks a 2 on the material safety scale. PVC is slightly porous, so this toy should be covered with a condom if you decide to share. Though, I would recommend not sharing this toy. Even though the toy has a unique shape, it has a complete smooth texture. It is harder than some materials, which could be seen as a downfall. I personally love harder materials, especially glass and metal, so I didn't find the material of this one uncomfortable at all.

Double Bubble should be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap or a universal sex toy cleaner. When cleaning it, make sure to really get around the edges of the toy. You can use both water based and silicone based lube with this toy. Personally, I like to store it in the box it came in. It's easier for me and I don't have to worry about it collecting lint

Packaging



The toy comes in a clear box, which allows you to see the toy. It doesn't contain any pictures, but it does clearly state that it is "deigned specifically for anal play". I wouldn't recommend leaving this out for others to see, especially your kiddos. Upon opening the box you will find a clear plastic case, which holds the toy.

I found using this toy hard as it was much to large for me to use anally. I was thrilled when i first got it, but didn't realize just how HUGE it was until I pulled it out of the package. It took quite some time and a lot of pain to finally be able to use it. It just wasn't worth it to me in the end. Make sure to use lube with this toy. I used it vaginally before I tried anal play with it and even that hurt.



For me it was too flexible..so much that it actually ripped near the base when I tried to remove it. Now if that isn't a turn OFF, i don't know what is!

Overall It wasn't worth it to me and I wouldn't purchase it again. Advanced users will love this toy for the challenge, but many will find it just isn't worth it.

I have not used this since it ripped on me. I don't feel like it is safe to use and I wouldn't purchase it again. Overall it was pretty to look at and was a challenge, which any advanced user can appreciate. There are just so many other options that are better that make this one fall short.
