Elegance and Decadence

The Njoy Fun Wand is a work of solid steel art, both in appearance and functionality. I could leave it on my mantle and call it an art piece, but it's so wonderfully orgasmic that if I could only own one toy, it would be the Fun Wand. The bulb end never misses it's mark and the beaded end is simply wonderful to insert and remove.

Use

The Fun Wand falls well within my favorite category of toys: versatile. I typically use mine vaginally, the bulbed end has a perfect curve for G-spotting (and I would assume P-spotting, although I haven't gotten to try it on my lover yet) and the beaded end has a wonderful, unique "pop" when inserted and removed. It can also be used anally, and it's wonderful for temperature play. It's a great toy for beginners and more advanced users, men and women alike, and works like a dream for solo or partnered play. Of coarse, because it's steel, it's wise not to get too overly enthusiastic and bruise yourself, but the curve of the toy makes it more difficult to bruise the cervix (although not impossible, I've done it.) As an added bonus, it's completely waterproof, so you can use it anywhere your heart desires and it can double as a Kegal exerciser.

Material / Texture

The Fun Wand is made of pure stainless steel. It's very smooth and sensual. It has no real taste or scent to speak of and it won't hold onto scents or flavors. It is by default an extremely firm material, and it's excellent for both beginners and more advanced users. Since steel can be heated or cooled easily, it makes an excellent companion for sensation play.

Design / Shape / Size

I love the design of the Fun Wand, you can't go wrong with this toy. It works exactly as it's supposed to, it's curve is in just the right place and it's beads are just the right fit. My only complaint about the design is that it gives no real stretch once inserted; the Fun Wand is a petit toy and quite thin, but the level of sensation it gives more than makes up for it. The beaded end also functions wonderfully as a handle while using the bulbed end either solo or with a partner, the beads make a really comfortable grip.

Appearance wise, the Fun Wand is extraordinarily elegant and artistic. It could be passed off as a piece of modern art to the average person. I've never had the opportunity to test it, but I think it could be sat out in the open and no one would figure out that it's a sex toy unless they were told or they knew what it was already.

Performance

The best thing about the Fun Wand is definitely that curve I can't get enough of mentioning. I think one of the few downsides it has is the tear-drop shape of it's beads. Normally it isn't noticeable, but if with too much pressure, the end bead can feel a little pokey.

Care and Maintenance

The Fun Wand is extremely easy to care for and store. It's steel, so it can be boiled, bleached, washed with hot water and soap, or even stuck in the dishwasher. The only thing you should never do is scour it, that will remove its mirror finish, and you wouldn't want to do that, right? Once it's clean, all you have to do to bring it back to perfect shine is polish it with a soft cloth. As far as lube compatibility, the sky's the limit. There are no lubes that won't work with the Fun Wand.

For storage purposes, I keep mine in it's original packaging, but it can be stored in just about any way you desire. It's nearly impossible to destroy.

Packaging

Ah, the Njoy packaging. I love describing it, because it just adds to the elegance of the toy itself, I almost want to put it on the mantle and display it as an art piece. The Fun Wand comes in a gorgeous wooden box lined in pink/red satin over an insert designed to cradle it perfectly. The Box is initially wrapped in white cardboard with Njoy logo printed on it in black and a little picture of the Fun Wand itself on the side of the box for product identification. The wooden box itself is black with another Njoy logo printed on the top, this time in silver, the lid opens on a hinge and is held with black ribbon. It's sturdy, discreet, and beautiful; perfect for gift giving and wonderful for storage.

Follow-up commentary
Even with the Pure Wand and the Eleven in my collection, the Fun Wand is still getting a ton of love from me. It gets about equal use to the Pure Wand, especially since it has such wonderful beads. I'd recommend it equal to the Pure Wand, which is a pretty high recommendation.

      Any toy can present a problem if used forcefully in the wrong way. Keep in mind that a steel do doesn't bend or flex at all. That's not meant to scare you, but it means that even more care needs to be given when using a steel toy.

      Be gentle and listen to your body. Let your body accept the toy if it wants it rather than forcing it. You should approach it with cautious excitement, not paranoia and fear if you want to relax. You can never overdo it with lube when using a new toy. Might seem annoyingly messy, but it's worth it to have an enjoyable experience, instead of a painful one ;)

      With the rounded balls and lack of pointy areas this is actually a very comfortable, and highly unlikely to cause harm, toy. However, like others have said, ANY toy can cause harm if you aren't slow and careful especially in the beginning of the play session before you are really warmed up. The anal sphincters really have a mind of their own and some need a whole bunch of persuasion while others are raring to go from the beginning. Learn where you fall in the spectrum, grab some good quality lube and use plenty of it.

      I would also suggest playing with the toy orally and vaginally at first so that you can see that it doesn't have sharp edges that could poke and tear sensitive anal tissues. It's completely non-porous so as long as you begin the session with oral/vaginal play and then move to anal there's no chance you'll cross contaminate! If you are REALLY worried you could try slipping a thin but large sized condom over the side you are playing with until you have a bit more confidence with the toy.

      This question is for anyone who may happen to already own both. I already have a Pure Wand and *love* it, esp the big end. Is it worthwhile for me to also buy the Fun Wand, or is it just more of the same? I know the beaded side would offer different sensations, but most people who review the Fun Wand seem to favor the other end, and it looks so much like the Pure Wand that I'm not sure if I should get one, or not. Thanks!
    • We have both and almost never use the Fun Wand - especially since we got the Eleven - it's either the Pure Wand or Eleven - never the Fun Wand.
