Fastest Enema in the West

There are plenty of enema kits out there but the Colt shower shot stands out as an excellent example of good construction, high water volume, and deep cleansing that serious enthusiasts want in their enema systems. Nothing I have used has been as convenient, effective, or comfortable.

Use

The Colt shower shot from California Exotics is a home enema system that is one of the fastest and most effective enema systems that Edenfantasys sells. An enema is the act of injecting liquid into the bowels for one reason or another. Some people do it for health reasons, most people do it to clean out the lower colon for anal play. A simple system would be a small squeeze bulb but these can be inconvenient and time consuming to use. The Colt shower shot is a high power, high pressure (relatively) system that can deliver far more water deeper and more quickly. The system itself is a collection of three items:

-A perforated jelly dildo
-A flexible steel water hose
-Two O rings

Material / Texture

The applicator is a six inch jelly dildo. It is very soft and flexible due in no small part to it being completely hollow. Interestingly it is flexible from side to side but hardly at all from end to end. This is a great feature since it means the dildo will not collapse when thrusting. When the dildo is full of water the effect is increased and it becomes even stronger. The fact that this item is made of jelly may turn some people off but hold on a sec, it's not as bad as you think. Even though jelly is not a body safe material and cannot be completely sterilized, I believe this item is not likely to have contamination issues since by design it has a large amount of warm or hot water flowing through it. Both the temperature and amount of water combine to make it very difficult for bacteria to get a firm hold on the material. This in turn means less chance of bacteria growing on the toy and potentially causing health concerns. A little soap and water or an antibacterial wipe at the end of the session should remove any chance of contamination.

Design / Shape / Size

The applicator part of the shower shot is about six inches long with five inches insertable. I've read of some people inserting the entire applicator inside themselves but I would call that an advanced technique and one the shower shot isn't really designed for. The applicator dildo is realistically shaped with a detailed head and veins. While the water is running though, I didn't notice the texture at all. For an applicator it's quite large though for a dildo it's small. Someone looking for something larger than the usual syringe type applicator tip would probably appreciate the size of this one.

Otherwise, the system comes with a nickel plated flexible steel hose and some O rings. The hose needs to be much longer I think, when hooked up to my shower head it only reached down to the shower handle, or approximately my groin. I had to go up on tip toes to insert the applicator. Not the most convenient arrangement.

Performance

The shower shot does exactly what it is designed to do: deliver a lot of water to one very specific place very fast. At this task, it excels. I found myself puzzling over how to lubricate a dildo that has water running all over it. Obviously not water based since it would wash off, not oil based either since it won't do well with the jelly. What to do? Eventually I just tried it and lo and behold, it works just fine without lube! The action of water running all over the outside created a lubricant effect that allowed it to insert easily, and once your body is used to the water running out, you'll relax to the point where lubrication isn't necessary anymore.

Care and Maintenance

Being jelly, you would normally have to be careful about how you treat, clean, or otherwise care for this item. For reasons mentioned earlier, this is not as big of a deal with this toy as with others of the same material. Instead, let's talk about care.

To care for this toy, I recommend putting it in its own plastic bag in your toybox. This will keep stuff from gumming up the water holes in the toy as well as keeping cross contamination at bay. Jelly is not the most stable material around so I recommend keeping it away from other toys, especially other jelly toys. In all likely hood nothing will happen, but if you put the wrong materials right next to each other, something is gonna melt and you'll find yourself throwing away some expensive stuff.

Packaging

There is absolutely nothing subtle about this packaging as typical of California Exotics products. They don't beat around the bush, I'll give them that. The box features a muscular nude man and photos of the device on all sides. At least you'll know what you're getting yourself into.

Personal comments

Enema systems are a tricky thing. Some people prefer small and basic, others prefer big fancy systems like this one. In the end it's all personal choice. If all you need is a quick washout then by all means, get a small bulb syringe. If you need to be clean all day, or are going deep (did you know a certain company makes a 64 inch silicone probe?) then something like the shower shot would be more worthwhile. For myself, I'm indifferent. I use both depending on what I'm up to and I see no reason to limit myself to only one system.

Something like this seems highly efficient, but even if it's only in my for a bit, jelly stings me like a colorful analogy so this isn't going to work for me. Excellent review, as always.

It's all relative. It's high volume and pressure compared to a handheld squeeze bulb. You can regulate the pressure yourself by adjusting the shower knobs. Some people will find it more comfortable than others but any pain should be a signal to stop. It's perfectly safe when used correctly.
