Feels like a hunk of plastic up your bum

There is a lot of talk that with each use, your pleasure will increase (I didn't see it after three times). It was nice, but far from the great we were expecting.

Use

At first glance, it was an odd shape... I mean, other than the simple fact that you insert the rounded end first, there's no instructions that accompany this injection molded toy. So, after a bit of searching through the web, I found that you insert (as guessed, rounded end first0, and then your sphincter should do most of the positioning for you. Simple enough!

Material / Texture

It genuinely is a solid piece of hard plastic; the manufacturer calls it "high-tech plastic", but I've yet to figure out what that really means... plastic isn't very high tech. While it's not pliable, the ends are slightly flexible, though not much. It's very plain white, stain resistant, and completely odor free (well, out of the box anyway).

Design / Shape / Size

It's roughly 4.5 inches, with an insertion length of roughly 4 inches. There are two slight bumps along the insertable portion of the Aneros, and the pair of curled ends (one is purely to keep this toy from slipping beyond your grasp, and the other is designed to press lovingly against the perineum).

Performance

So, the manufacturer (and those around the web) claim that the Aneros is ideal for deep, gentle stimulation of your prostate, perineum, rectum and anus. As your pelvic muscles move, and as you become more excited, the muscles will draw the Aneros in and provide more stimulation, resulting in a non-ejaculatory orgasm (this is supposed to mean you don't have a refractory period and can continue to have multiple orgasms... this is debatable as to how well the Aneros actually helps here).

While I did enjoy using the Aneros, and did have a slightly stronger orgasm, I can't say I felt any kind of "whole body" orgasm, nor was I able to roll right into another orgasm. But, YMMV with the Aneros.
    • Completely silent
    • Hard to figure out

Care and Maintenance

On the up side, because the Aneros is completely solid plastic, it's incredibly easy to clean. I typically use soap and water, and then clean it with our bottle of toy cleaner and a warm water rinse. I'm fairly certain that boiling the Aneros wouldn't negatively affect it, though the ends may reshape if left in too long. Be careful to avoid nicking or scratching, since it's made to slide up against soft tissue.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store
Follow-up commentary
So, in the past two months we've tried to incorporate the Aneros another two times, but it is still a dud. It's way to complicated, and even after a couple hours of concentration, it doesn't seem to provide any great sensation. It might work better for others, but I've given it enough time, and it's yet to improve.

I haven't taken the time to really learn how to appreciate these yet either. There is definitely a learning curve. Congratulations on your first review and welcome to EF.

I have heard there is a learning curve with these toys...but neither of my guys wants to learn sadly enough. I have to agree though, "High tech plastic? WTF?" Thanks for trying

Thank you for your review. You mention that it's completely odor free out of the box -- is that an implication that it attracts or holds scents?

Good first review. Thanks for the warning - it's hard enough learning a new computer operating system every few years, who needs a toy with a "learning curve"

Thanks for the review! You can get a quality glass plug for A LOT less and glass is SO much better than plastic, IMO...
