Provoke - prostate massager discontinued by Evolved Novelties - review by MamaDivine

So, I originally wanted the Sweet Embrace. However, being that the "Men's toys" were having a sale and the Sweet Embrace wasn't, I decided to opt for this one. Seems how the Sweet Embrace and the Provoke are the SAME TOY! The only difference between the two toys is that the Provoke is marketed towards men as a prostate massager and the Sweet Embrace is pink and marketed towards women for a dual sided stimulator/vibrator.

Firstly, my husband opened the box,and He looked at me with big eyes! He says "You are NOT sticking this up my ass!". Then he got all serious and said "Seriously, what on earth do you plan on doing to me!?" Of course, my husband has a great sense of humor, so he is laughing through this whole ordeal. I tried to explain to him WHY I got the one that I did and that he need not worry, it was not going to enter anywhere near his ass. I seriously about died laughing while I was trying to tell him that it was for ME and not him!

We noticed right away how velvety the material was. The overall feel, grip of the toy is very comfortable. Because this toy vibrates on both ends, you can hold it at either end. This is listed as a plastic toy. I was quite impressed with the sturdiness. It is made of a hard plastic with a velvety coat over top of it. It is waterproof (bonus!).

I found this toy's "on/off/multispeed" button to be in a rather interesting position. The button is located towards the middle top of this toy. Depending on the angle you are using the toy, and if it is you or your partner that is holding onto it, this may cause a slightly awkward positioning for you. The smaller end of the toy is about 1" in diameter and it widens to 1 3/4".

The Provoke requires 2 AAA batteries. The vibrations on this toy were rather weak, in my opinion. Everyone has different preferences.But then again, I was using this for mainly massaging purposes, so that is what I was looking for, was a stronger vibration. The battery compartment is located in the larger end of the toy.

When I purchased this toy, I was meaning to purchase it for mainly massager purposes. This was one of those toys that went on my "Lets check it out" list because of the shape of it. I figured that the shape of this toy would allow me to use it for a great neck or shoulder massage. Because of the curved shape, it fits nicely on the shoulders and around the neck.

The batteries on this toy are inserted through the middle. Simply twist the toy in half and you will be able to pop the toy in half. Insert the batteries and twist back on. Simple!

It is a very smooth, simplistic toy in regards to cleaning. Because of this toys waterproof properties, you can wash in warm, soapy water without having any issues with the battery compartment getting wet or damaged. However, make sure to check to see that the battery compartment is tightly twisted on.

Also remember that (as with any toy) you should always take the batteries out of your toy when not in use. This will help to save the battery life of your toy and will also prevent any sort of battery acid leakage, which can damage the internal workings of the vibrator, rendering it useless. As always, make sure to wash and rinse thoroughly and spray with an antibacterial cleanser afterwards to make sure that any bacteria that may have been left behind is killed off for a clean future use!

This toy is hypo-allergenic and latex free for those of you with allergies or irritation involving certain materials.

My experience with this toy has been mainly of a massage type experience. So, I cannot attest to its internal use or any clitoral use. This will definitely be on the list of future things to do though! Since receiving this toy, I believe that there are some definite possibilities for some other creative uses for this toy. Im excited to try these ideas! I will update with any new information as I try them out. Being that I am a female, and nothing goes near my booty anymore anyways, I cannot attest to its anal use or effectiveness either. Sorry guys!

I still really like the Provoke! I've used it for a general massager as well as an insertable toy for myself (not the hubby, he still won't let me go that route!). I am somewhat disappointed that most of the vibrations are in the "handle" portion of this toy. The larger end has all the vibrations and the smaller end was very weak, which is the end that I use to insert for G spot stimulation. The vibrations will make your hand go numb fairly quickly, which would be fine if they were in the smaller end of the toy. I use this toy mostly as a sex toy, rather than a massager (which is what I purchased it for). The curve hits the g spot very nicely and the overall design is nice for neck massages!
