Fun for All

The Fun Wand from Njoy is a lovely piece of stainless steel which will delight users who love to experiment with new sensations and use their toys in creative ways. It's the best toy I've used yet for stimulating the Anterior Fornix, and it pleases in a number of other ways as well.

Use

The Njoy Fun Wand is a stainless steel probe designed for internal anal or vaginal stimulation by anyone who owns one or more of those particular orifices. It's double ended for variety's sake, hygienic, and just plain fun.

Caution should be exercised not to thrust too vigorously with the Fun Wand, as a rigid material like stainless steel can bruise sensitive tissue, but so long as one is willing to follow that recommendation, the Fun Wand is a fantastic toy for beginners and seasoned users alike.

The Fun Wand can be used vaginally to stimulate the g-spot or the lessor known Anterior Fornix, or a-spot, as well as anally to stimulate the prostate or indirectly stimulate the g-spot, depending on which of those one happens to own, and it's also a champion at teasing the thousands of nerve endings clustered in the anus.

Material / Texture

Stainless steel is one of the safest materials for sex toys. It's free of phthalates and other harmful chemicals, as well as latex and other potential allergens. It's also non-porous, which means it's easily sterilized, plus it doesn't collect lint between uses. Stainless steel is odorless, and tastes like silverware.

The Fun Wand is a solid piece of steel, cold and smooth to the touch. You can warm it up with your hand, or in a warm glass of water, prior to play, or if you prefer, you can increase the cold for a more shocking sensation. It's not a good idea to put steel toys in the freezer and then bring them directly to bed -- it won't hurt the toy any, but frostbite isn't sexy. Always test chilled toys against the inside of your wrist or elbow before attacking your genitals with the flagpole from A Christmas Story.

While a firm material like stainless steel or glass might not be everyone's ideal toy for one's very first foray into penetration play, the Fun Wand is small enough for most sex toy novices to insert comfortably. Always use lube for any anal play, and remember, if something hurts, you're going too fast. Take your time, it's worth it.

Design / Shape / Size

In use, the Fun Wand is a fairly small toy. It's lighter than the Pure Wand, which is a relief to the wrists, but it still feels satisfyingly hefty where it counts. If your ultimate goal during playtime is to work the largest object possible into one orifice or another, the Fun Wand's not really your ultimate tool. But most users will find the size strikes a nice balance -- it's quite adequate for a variety of pleasures while remaining as non-threatening as possible for a solid stainless steel sex toy.

The Fun Wand is not at all realistic or even particularly phallic, and only those familiar with sex toys will recognize it as such. To the naive and gullible, it's a replica of a ninja weapon from the latest comic book movie. Those who recognize it, on the other hand, probably want one, so they're more likely to envy you than judge you.

I would recommend against trying to get this on an airplane in a carry on, because it would work quite well as a weapon, so TSA shouldn't let it through the gate. If it's in your checked luggage, you're likely increasing the chance that your bag will be searched, because it'll show up on x-rays and ping metal detectors. Either ship it to your destination ahead of yourself -- an excellent option anyway if you're traveling to see family over the holidays, because you can also ship gifts instead of lugging them through airports -- or leave it home.

Performance

There are at least six delightful ways to use the Fun Wand, at least for those blessed with a vagina.

First of all, either end can be chilled and used to tease any external part you like. Or you can skip the chilling -- the toy tends to take care of that part on its own, and if that's not a plus in your book, it warms up if you hold it for a bit first. The bloopy three-bulb end was much more stimulating on the clitoris and surrounding regions than I anticipated, so the Fun Wand earned a gold star before the real tests even got underway.

Inserted vaginally, the bloopy end can provide some extreme stimulation to the g-spot with shallow, cautious thrusts. Depending on one's g-spot, that will either feel fantastic, or downright painful. Personally, I thought it felt like the Alumina Motion on steroids -- a not entirely unpleasant sensation, but not something I want to experience often, either. I'd recommend against thrusting too deeply, as the bloopy end is pretty pointy and not really cervix-friendly.

It's the other end that really shines vaginally. Depending on how much hook you need in a toy for optimum g-spot stimulation, the Fun Wand is pretty good for that activity. Not as good as the Pure Wand, but definitely one of the more effective toys I've used. Some reviewers found the head too pointy. I did not. Consider the shapes you've liked in the past before deciding on this toy as a primary g-spot toy.

My favorite use for the Fun Wand, to my utter surprise, is for stimulating the a-spot -- not the anus, but the Anterior Fornix Erogenous Zone. The angle was perfect, and the Fun Wand, which was an impulse buy, shot straight to the top of my favorites list. From what I've read since, not everyone enjoys having that area stimulated, and it's important not to bump the cervix with a hard toy in the process, but the results can be mindblowing.

Anally, the simple end does a very nice job of indirect g-spot stimulation, and therefore it's no surprise to me that male users love this toy for p-spot stimulation. It's very easy to insert thanks to the pointiness of the head, and the bloopy end is a fantastic handle.

And speaking of the bloopy end, it's the best end to insert anally. The popping sensation as each bulb enters, or exits, the field of play is very nice, and since the first bulb is the size of a finger, most users won't have trouble warming up to it.

Remember to always sterilize toys before sharing them between orifices, or between partners. It's okay to go from the vagina to the anus, but not the other way around. You'll have to get up and get the bleach, or boil some water. So plan your sessions accordingly, or use a condom.

Care and Maintenance

Stainless steel can be washed in hot soapy water, sprayed with toy cleaner, rinsed in a ten percent bleach solution, wiped down with rubbing alcohol, boiled, or run through the top rack of the dishwasher, sans detergent. If you boil your stainless steel and glass toys, it's a good idea to do them one at a time, and line the pot with a towel, so they don't get scratched while you're trying to care for them.Harsh cleansers will ruin the finish on the fun wand, so don't scrub it with steel wool or scratchy bathroom cleaners, but otherwise, it's your body that's the concern, not the toy, so rinse it well before using it. Chemicals like bleach will burn your fun bits.

For storage, the Fun Wand comes in a great box where it can live in perfect safety, and I recommend using it if at all possible. You could also store it in a padded bag, not so much for the safety of the Fun Wand -- it's not going to break -- but for the safety of your other toys. Don't drop it on glass toys or let it lay for an extended period of time on top of your softest silicone dildo. Stainless steel can get scratched, so if it's going to get jostled around, protect it with a cloth bag, a towel, or even a sock.

Packaging

Anyone who has done even a moderate amount of research in the sex toy world knows that Njoy is the grand champion of awesome sex toy packaging. The Njoy boxes look like high end jewelry boxes. They're made of a thick, heavy material that blurs the line between cardboard and wood, with a satin lining covering a foam cutout in the shape of the toy. It's perfect for storage, and great for romantic gift giving. It's also discreet enough to leave out on the nightstand, provided your local snoops will be satisfied with the ninja weapon cover story should they open it. It sadly lacks a latch of any kind.

Personal comments

I bought the Fun Wand on a whim, and it proved a very good whim indeed. I'm not prepared to say I like it better than the Pure Wand, as the Pure Wand is better for g-spot stimulation, but the Fun Wand is much more versatile, and I highly recommend it.
