Sexy spades small by Doc Johnson

The Sexy Spades (Small) butt plug from Doc Johnson is a lovely entry in their Glass Dreams series It comes nestled in a plastic see-through box. The plug carries a limited 30 day warranty from the date of purchase and can be registered on the Doc Johnson website.

The Sexy Spades is made from tempered glass and is smooth and seamless. Glass is hard, and it is resistant to breaking or shattering. If a glass toy breaks, it tends to break into large pieces and not shatter or splinter. Glass toys should always be checked before and after use for any damage or cracking. If any defects are found, the toy should not be used. If you drop one during use, especially on a hard surface, be sure to examine it before continuing its use.

Glass toys are non-porous, and are phthalates-free as well as hypo-allergenic. They are also easy to clean. They can be sterilized by boiling, running them through the dishwasher, or cleaned with a 10% bleach solution.

Glass retains both heat and cold well, and is great for temperature play. It can be microwaved or run under hot water as well as chilled for extra fun. Be sure to check the temperature of the toy before use - you don't want to cook or freeze your insides! Water-based, oil-based, and silicone lubes are all safe to use with glass. A little lube goes a long way.

The Sexy Spades weighs about 6 1/2 ounces. It makes its presence known when in use, although it’s not as heavy as metal plugs. The plug overall stands 3 1/4” tall. The base through the neck is clear glass. The acorn bulb has swirls of yellow and brown starting at the bottom of the acorn, which give way to blue swirls that go up to the clear tip. The plug is very pretty, and looks different depending upon how it’s held. It is lovely enough to display on a dresser without causing too much concern, and the base is flat so the plug doesn’t rock and sway on a flat surface.

The plug’s base is almost 2” in diameter, and about 1/2" wide. Because the base is round and fairly wide, some may not find this comfortable for extended wear about. The acorn portion is a full 1 1/2" wide at its widest, which is about 1 1/2" from the tip. Some may find this rather wide for a small plug and may need to start with something smaller to loosen up. The neck is just under 1” wide, which helps when removing the plug by keeping a gently stretch in the anus. The neck is, however, narrow enough to keep the plug in place.

This is a very pretty and functional piece. It’s comfortable to insert and remove, and with a touch of lube glides in and out nicely.

I haven't noticed any problems with this plug. It looks great, and has not developed any cracks or any water getting inside.

I don't wear this for extended periods out of the house, as I don't find the base comfortable for that, but it is wonderful for short term wear. I truly love how glass feels, particularly in an anal toy.

I do have to warm up with something else before I use this, but once I do, this plug is great!
