The X-10 beads are ok. They weren't really that stimulating and too long in length. If you must get a set, these might not be your best choice. 2 stars.

Use

The X-10 beads from Cal Exotics are designed for anal stimulation. I used this set as stimulation while masturbating, by slowly removing them from my anus as I orgasmed. I'm not sure how they would feel vaginally, so it's probably best to say they are an anal only toy. The X-10 is best suited for play alone or with a partner. I would be careful with these beads, though, as they have a few drawbacks, as I'll discuss later in this review.

Material / Texture

The X-10 beads are made of a jelly material, though I would liken them more closely to a plastic material, as they are quite hard. The ring on the end is softer though, which, again, leads to a drawback. There is a small seam along each side of this toy from the clamshell mold in the manufacturing process. They did a reasonable job removing this post production, though it is still noticeable, though not painful during play. My X-10 beads were black.

Design / Shape / Size

These beads consist of a row of large to small beads, starting at about a nice round 1", and moving down to a few, rather disappointing 1/4", honestly, I don't really know why they're even there. It is also a quite long row of beads. I read other review before trying this toy and they had said the same thing. The length is not only annoying, but could also be a concern for your health. It probably wouldn't be too hard though to get some scissors and cut them short, just be careful, and don't create any sharp areas on the toy, PLEASE!

Performance

The X-10 beads weren't really my favorite toy. I had always wanted to experiment with beads but the X-10 set may have just given me a bad impression. Cheap manufacturing, weird design, and cheap materials. No good.

Care and Maintenance

I recommend using a light soap and water, since jelly cannot be sanitized. If you can, and probably not in this case, use a condom over your jelly toys.

    • I have not tried anal beads yet. I do know that you should avoid ones with actual string in between them if you're looking for something easy to clean. Silicone is probably your best bet material-wise--top safety rating and cleans like a dream.
