Use

This toy can really do it all! The Gold Laced G can be used vaginally, anally, as well as for g-spot and clitoral stimulation. It's great for solo play, and it could possibly be used during intercourse as well (but I think the base could potentially be awkward or slide out depending on the position, I haven't tried yet to be sure). The Gold Laced G is convenient and discreet since it has no mechanical parts to make noise, so it's perfect for dorm living or when you need play time to be private.

Vaginally, there is the potential for g-spot stimulation with this toy. However, if you're still trying to find yours, or need a large curve, this may not be what you're looking for. It works well for G-spots that are in-your-face easy to find and stimulate though! Since there's a raised lattice texture, dragging the shaft along the clitoris adds some nice feeling. Be cautious not to play too hard - while I personally had no bruising or discomfort from harder thrusting, bruising internally can still be a potential problem from the hard material. It's best to use common sense: if you're in pain, stop or start to take it easy.

This toy can also be used anally - the Gold Laced G has a wide offset base at the bottom so it is safe. Because of the size, it's comfortable to slide in, and would be a good choice for beginners. However, it's also nice for anyone wanting light anal play without too much girth. As with using it vaginally, care should be taken not to go too hard anally.

Temperature play is ideal with a toy like this. Chilled or warmed both create wonderful sensations.

Material / Texture

The Gold Laced G is made from body safe, non-porous, Pyrex glass. It retains no smells, and is able to be used with any lube you prefer. Due to glass being good for temperature retention, it's a great toy to use for temperature play. It's obviously very hard and will not bend, so people with an aversion to stiff toys may not prefer this. The Gold Laced G requires little lubrication, so you won't need much for it to comfortably slide in or out.

Since glass is non-porous, you can safely use the same toy vaginally and anally without worry of bacterial transfer between separate uses (always remember to wash in between!).

This toy has a pleasing lattice texture along the shaft, raised just a little above the main form. It can be felt both vaginally and anally, and it's not an overwhelming sensation - this makes it an optimal choice for people who like "just enough" texture, or are looking into this kind of texture for the first time. For people that like a large variety of texture in their toys, this may not be quite enough, but should still feel pleasurable.

Design / Shape / Size

The Gold Laced G resembles a penis in form, without being a realistic toy. Made of clear Pyrex glass, it has a ridged area to create a head, and a notch to resemble the frenulum. Along the shaft, there is gold-tinted lattice texture, which is very ribbon-like and is appealing visually. The lattice strands continue a bit over the base for looks. The base is offset, which balances it well and overall is a great design feature since it allows you to stand your toy up. The total length is just under 7", and with a circumference of 3 1/2" it sounds a little small - but thanks to the texture on this toy, you don't even notice the smaller size vaginally that much (anally it still feels on the smaller side, which is by no means a problem).

The shaft has a slight bend to it, which will allow for G-spot stimulation. Because the toy has a base, it is safe for anal use (and the size makes it comfortable for anybody to use). The size also lends it to being a good warm-up toy for something bigger.

I honestly believe this toy's strength lies in its texture rather than its girth for maximum pleasure.

Performance

I feel like the Gold Laced G performs incredibly well! The size is nice and the texture on it is definitely stimulating. It's not heavy or awkward to hold while thrusting either, so your hands won't cramp up or get tired as quickly. I had no issues hitting my G-spot with the curve of this once I angled it just a bit (but I don't have a lot of trouble in general, so this may not be the case for everyone). The hardness is great for pressing up against the G-spot. It's not a rush of stimulation for the clit, but it still feels good if you want to run the Gold Laced G along it once in a while during play.

It works great for anal too - it inserts and is removed easily, and is comfortable. The texture anally also really adds to the sensation. It is not a toy that will stay in place when it's in your bum though, so it does require a hand to hold it there if you're going to move or try using it with a partner.

It's ability to stand on the base is super convenient - it's great if you're in the shower or bath and need to place it on the ledge for a moment.

Care and Maintenance

As with all glass products, the Gold Laced G is pretty simple to clean. An antibacterial soap with warm water will work just fine - you can also place it on the top rack of a dishwasher if you want. Dry with a soft towel or air dry, and then store it.

You'll want to take a little extra care to clean in the crevices formed from the latticed texture, because it creates some tight corners that lube or body fluids might cling to.

When not in use, it's best to store this toy in a soft pouch, toy box, or anywhere it'll be protected from rolling around. Don't store this toy where it can be bopped around! Glass may be a sturdy material, but it's no good if it's clanking against other hard objects and risking fractures or cracks.

As with any toy, should something happen that causes the Gold Laced G to break, gather up all the pieces and dispose of it properly. It is not safe to continue using a broken glass toy.

Since glass won't react to anything in lubes, you can use whatever type is your preference.

Packaging

The Gold Laced G comes without a box or any kind of blister pack, and instead arrived covered with bubble wrap in a thin velvet pouch with a drawstring. The pouch I received was pretty flimsy and had no padding, nor a lining. If you want more protection for your toy, I would definitely recommend purchasing one of the padded toy pouches here at EdenFantasys, or storing it safely in a toy box (if you're crafty, you could probably make your own pouch).

There were no instructions or leaflets included with it, so there won't be any excess papers floating around after opening it.

The bag is about as discreet as a long drawstring bag with a dildo in it can be, so if you're living in a dorm or shared environment, you'll probably want to place your bag somewhere private.

Personal comments

I noticed that for some reason, near the very bottom of my Gold Laced G, the middle line of lattice work on the underside feels especially pronounced. I was a little startled when I used it anally, because it was definitely not what I expected - it almost felt pointed (not a painful feeling, it was dull), but I did stop to check it and make sure there wasn't a problem. I can't really figure out why this happens, it could possibly just be that section of lattice is more raised or sloped, or something. As with any hand made toy, there is bound to be variation, so this may be an issue just on mine. So I would advise maybe running your fingers a long the shaft carefully before inserting it, just to see if any area seems like it could be an issue.

I don't consider this a problem on mine! It causes no harm, and once I got used to it, it didn't take away from how good the toy feels. I still love this toy a whole lot. It was just a small distracting moment, and I felt it was worth suggesting that you check your toy if anything feels unexpectedly odd - better to be safe than sorry!

Experience

I can say I'm kind of love with this toy. I don't do a lot of G-spot stimulation often, but I was able to have a really intense orgasm because of the hardness of this tilted up to my G-spot. Needless to say, I plan on using it more often for that purpose.

I also really enjoyed this anally as it was a great warm-up size and the texture was just perfect. I used it both chilled and warmed, and in between them, and I don't know which is best! They all felt so good.

This one will definitely be getting a lot of use from me.

I still use this toy quite a lot because I love the temperature play that comes with it. I have ended up using it a lot more anally because it's a really comfortable size for that.

I no longer notice that raised area I mentioned in my review previously, probably because I've gotten so used to it. This toy remains one of my favorite purchases - I just wish I could take it in the shower without being afraid to drop it! King Midas wouldn't exactly approve of a butterfingers like me. Haha.

Wonderful review.
Although you say, "Since glass is non-porous, you can safely use the same toy vaginally and anally without worry of bacterial transfer between uses." You may want to reword this, some might think that it can be used from one orifice to the other without cleaning first.

As far as the lattice on the bottom, I can tell you that mine and Selective Sensualist's (I think) also have the same feature. It is kind of nice for me. This is my favorite glass toy, glad you like it too.

Great review. We love ours, too! The texture on ours becomes more pronounced about three inches or so down the shaft, but is more "blurred" (or much less distinct) on the first three inches. Dwtim's seemed to be the same. I've also noticed the center "seam" being the most pronounced of all as well. So perhaps it is just the design of the toy for it to become more pronounced in texture the closer you get to the bottom.
