The Gold Laced G is one of the most talked about glass dildos on this site so I knew I had to try it out sooner or later. It’s great for those who are new to glass and those who don’t like a lot of texture. The base is flared to one side so it’s anal safe.

The shaft has a slight curve but it’s not pronounced enough to stimulate the G-spot very well. Glass is extremely firm so caution must be used as to not thrust too hard, especially if your partner is in control.

Glass is also awesome because it holds temperatures really well. Chill it in a bowl of ice water or warming it up with warm water is enough to provide thrilling sensations to the nether bits. I would caution against putting it in the freezer though because wet skin can stick to it and tear, and microwaving it can give you burns.

Glass is an excellent material because it is food-grade material, hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free, making it very body safe.

The Gold Laced G has a mild texture. The “laced” or zigzag pattern along the shaft is quite noticeable when I run my fingers along the shaft, but the texture is quite mild during use. I’m pretty texture sensitive but I can tolerate this toy just fine. Anymore texture than this and I’d be begging for someone to take it off my hands.

Each piece is individually made so your measurements may vary from mine. The length of mine is 6 ¼” with an insertable length of 5 7/8” and a circumference of 3 1/2”.

There are some bubbles on the head of mine but little imperfections are quite common. Just be sure to inspect for any chips or cracks before use so you don’t get injured.

The head is semi-realistic so tuck it away if you don’t want anyone to know if you have toys of an adult nature. If you’re not worried about anyone seeing it, the base allows it to stand up beautifully.

This is a decent dildo but it’s not my favorite. The ribbed texture provides unique sensations without being too overwhelming for me, but I use a good amount of lube to reduce any friction. Any lube is compatible with glass. I like using Wet Synergy (which is a hybrid lube) with glass because it is long lasting and easy to wash off when I am done.

I like a lot of glass dildos because I can get some good pressure on my G-spot, but only thrusting this worked for me. The slight curve was not pronounced enough to hone in and the dildo itself is very slim. Even if the head was a bit larger, or if the shaft had a more noticeable curve, I think I would enjoy it more, so this is a toy I pull out of my toy chest less frequently than others. It’s fun just to play with it for the texture.

Water and soap or a toy cleaner will do for cleaning. You could also sterilize it with a 10 per cent bleach solution or by running it through the dishwasher or boiling it for a few minutes. Be sure to let it cool before removing if you choose to boil it.

Silicone, water, and oil based lubes are compatible with glass, although most oil based lubes can upset the PH level of the vagina. For females, I would only stick to silicone based, water based or hybrid (silicone and water mixed) lubes.

It comes with a nice red pouch with a drawstring closure. The pouch is not padded, but it will keep the Gold Laced G from clinking against other glass toys if you have any.
