The best way to use this toy is as an anal toy for men. Even though the toy could be used vaginally or orally, it is not well designed for this use. It could be used for anal play as a woman, but the perineum tab would likely end up rubbing or inserting into the vulva. This would pose problems if trying to use it during sex.

The toy is designed such that the loop faces towards your back and the perineum tab faces towards your front. For a guy this design results in when the toy is inserted the tab presses on your perineum (soft spongy section of your body between your scrotum and your anus) and the inserted part of the toy rests against your prostate. You can then through flexing your anal muscles effectively massage your prostate with the toy and rub your perineum at the same time. This can result in for many men a full body prostate driven orgasm. It's potentially possible to have an orgasm just through these muscle flexes and prostate massaging for many men who use this and similar toys.

The toy is not well designed for use while seated due to the handle loop; however, with a simple modification of cutting off the loop as can be seen in the picture below:



With this modification you can now use the toy in a seated fashion. I modified mine this way as I typically use such toys while masturbating like normal but gain an explosive full body intense orgasm experience from the combined prostate massage and masturbation experience.

The toy could also be used during sex to heighten the sexual experience. I've done this myself; however, usually right after inserted I tend to lose some of my erection and it takes a moment to come back... as such the mood was lost before me and my partner actually were able to use this during sex. I fully hope to try to use this toy or one of the others of this kind I have during sex with my current partner.

Before using this toy, or any other anal toy, I would sterilize it with rubbing alcohol and then rinse it off under very hot water.

The toy is made out of a medical grade plastic, which is good since this toy is designed to be inserted into the body. I am never sure of plastics of being as easy to fully sterilize as silicone, which is why I wouldn't personally share this toy or use it vaginally/orally after it had been inserted anally. This is a really high quality plastic though and you can tell it from the feel of the toy.

As the toy is made of a plastic it's very hard, but it is very smooth and easy to take care of. The toy doesn't have any smell that I noticed. As it's very smooth, this makes it very easy to insert, which is very helpful especially if you are just starting out with anal play. It also reduces the amount of lube needed to get the toy in since due to the smoothness of the toy, compared to my other silicone based toys.

As the toy is plastic vs silicone it can be used with water and silicone based lubes.

The design of this product is such that when inserted as directed the inserted part of the toy should rest against your prostate and the tab in the front of the toy will press against your perineum. This allows the toy to be manipulated with anal kegel muscle flexes and massage your prostate. To this end this toy works very well at doing this. The SGX from Aneros is the first of such products to release that I found and is the first design that Aneros released. They make a larger version of this exact series called the MGX that is effectively the same toy but for guys who need the toy to have a longer inserted length and slightly increased girth to successfully massage the prostate. But regardless I have the SGX, from when it first released and before Aneros renamed it so you knew it was the original classic design. It has been the gold standard to which I now judge all my other and future prostate massagers against as I expect them to be as good or better than the Aneros SGX now.

The toy is also rather thin compared to most of my other prostate massagers, which makes it less intimidating as a starter p-spot toy. So between the smooth easy to insert texture of the plastic and the size this is a great starter toy for this kind of sexual play.

The pros of the design are that it does what it advertises and is a really well designed product; however, the design has some significant flaws that Aneros has addressed in future versions. One of the biggest and well known issues is the perineum tab as it is about as thin as two nickels in width, as you can see in the photo with a single nickel for comparison.



This results in the pressure it applies being applied in point/line along the perineum, which can become uncomfortable. And if you've retrofitted the toy to make it so you can sit on it while masturbating then this pressure is even more apparent. There is a simple fix that works rather well to reduce the impact of this design issue and that is using a few squares of toilet paper folded and put between the perineum tab and your perineum to act as padding while inserted. This works well; however, doesn't always stay put so isn't a perfect solution.

The other key design issue of this is that it was designed with the expectation that you would use the product while laying down on a bed or during sex. Most sex positions don't result in the pull handle being an issue; however, if you were wanting to use the toy while seated this pull handle can be a problem. As such there is a simple fix as I mentioned and showed in the use section, where you can cut off and file smooth the handle section so it sits flat against you. This still keeps the toy anal safe so you don't have to worry about the toy getting lost inside of you and provide a handle to help you with removal of the toy when done; however, it's not as easy as when the handle was there. As I almost always used this toy in addition to masturbating this was a necessary alteration for me, but not a huge deal all things considered.

This toy performs as it applies direct pressure onto the prostate as designed. It resulted in significantly stronger and more intense orgasms and resulted in me becoming addicted for a while to p-spot enhanced orgasms. This toy also lead to me trying a number of other p-spot toys as they started coming out from other manufacturers.

As mentioned in the design the perineum tab, though important for the experience, can result in unenjoyable pressure and pain if too much pressure is applied. But even with this issue the product exceeded my expectations of how much of a difference of an orgasm it would result in. Using this toy resulted in my first full body mind blowing orgasm where I lost all track of time and my surroundings.

The medical grade plastic this toy is made of is very easy to keep clean. Even if the toy is a bit messy after use it cleans up in a snap with no special effort needed beyond using hot water. I've only used it with water based lubes as silicone lubes will mess up all my other toys; however, as this toy is plastic and not silicone it can be used with any kind of lube. I think non-water based lubes will likely be harder to clean with just water and will likely require water and soap to clean.

The toy has lasted numerous years and requires no special maintenance. It is still like the day I got it.

This toy made me orgasm like never before and lead to me becoming extremely addicted to p-spot driven masturbation orgasms to the point where it became difficult for me to orgasm otherwise. I'm not sure if this is really an issue, but I cut back on my use of such toys now to more an occasional use; however, if I start integrating them with use with my partner that might change.

This toy is simple in what it is, but is a very good toy for what the goal is. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a first prostate massager toy to try. I compare all prostate massagers to this toy and though I have some newer ones I like better on occasion, this one due to it's size/design I can use easier on a more regular basis.
