Dr. Joel Kaplan universal prostate probe - prostate massager discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by misioooo

This is my first prostate massager. Previously, I was toying only with a small, jelly plug. How does this work? Well, it feels good and nice when put inside, but it is not great in any way. Only the price and the price/pleasure ratio is great!

I didn't have any anal experience before, except for using the smallest plug a few times in the past. Putting this massager in was quite easy. Just use some lube (remember - since this toy is made of silicone, do not use silicone-based lubes!), I prefer water-based ones and voila. A bit of relaxing and the Dr is in my butt. No pain at all. Maybe because the size of this toy is not too big?

With the toy placed where it should be, what now? Hmm... It feels a bit strange; I felt a little full and I could say it was pleasurable. But I didn't feel anything on my prostate (and I can feel a strange feeling when using a finger).

Dr. Joel is made of medical grade silicone. You can not use silicone-based lube with it and, as with many silicone toys, it gathers lint like crazy. It has no taste nor smell. It is smooth and it bends rather easily. It has some kind of a "mustache" to pleasure the perineum, but it did not work for me.

It has a nice handle that makes pulling the toy out of me very easy. The handle is so designed that I didn't feel any discomfort when the toy was inside me. Since it has no flare-like thing, the handle prevents any rotation movements of the massager when used and inserted.

I like the shape of it. It slides easily and stays in place during intercourse or when walking, sitting etc.
I would say it is built just right to fit into the human anatomy.

The size of Dr. Joel Kaplan is not intimidating. It is a rather small toy and easy to slide in. I can recommend it to beginners, just like me.

When used, it feels nice, pleasurable and gives me the feeling of being a little full inside. it's just right to feel comfortable with it (remember, I am a beginner!).

Unfortunately for me, it is not doing what it should do - prostate massage. I can not feel a thing on my prostate using this toy (and when I am using my finger, I can feel something for sure). I think it is because at least my body requires a little more pressure there than this flexible, silicone toy can give. It is just too soft/flexible for me. But it feels good and I am using it as anal plug anyway!

Since Dr. Joel is made of silicone you can wash it with warm wather and soap, you can use a dishwasher or boil it for few minutes if you are paranoid. Only the lint is troublesome, but anyway you should always clean the toy before and after use. To get rid of lint just use water.

It is packaged in a plastic blister pack, nothing more. No bag for storing or anything fancy, but the price is adequate.
