Good going in, but very little continuous reward
The Classic Royal was a blast working up to, and that initial Pop! as it finally entered was pretty amazing. But after that, it didn't have much excitement to it. I've had better experiences with more rounded plugs. I've been told the A-Bomb is the way to go, so hopefully I'll have a better experience with that when it arrives. Pros:
Size is nice, and the buildup and initial penetration are amazing.
Cons:
Once in, its shape is uncomfortable for more than a few minutes of wear; not much playability.
I have to admit, as anxious as I was to receive this toy, I wasn't overly thrilled with the product itself. I'm no stranger to plugs, and I greatly enjoyed the row of toys I laid out in order to build my way up to finally being able to take this big boy. That diameter is no joke, but that wasn't a problem. Some other toys I regularly use equal and even exceed that size, and provide a greater amount of pleasure.
Personally, I'm a fan of both the buildup and the extended playability. I'm a fan of toys that you can keep using in continual play. The Classic Butt Plug delivered a great initial bang when inserted, but the lack of comfort and extended wearability once in did not make the sheer time it tool me to prepare for it as worth it.
Building up to this one was awesome, and finally taking it in, and feeling that pop as my muscled closed around it was pretty damned breathtaking. But after that... well, it just didn't feel right inside. The material was too rigid, the outside base felt too odd compressed between my cheeks, and walking around the house with it in wasn't as titillating as with other products. The flat sides and unyielding shape were not conducive to the contours of my anus, and after a minute or two I could not resist the uncomfortable urder to get it out. Perhaps my expectations were too high?
I will likely play with this more in the future, but I doubt it will become part of my regular routines. Perhaps with time I will get used to wearing it around the house, but I'm doubtful, as its shape is too unyielding, and it feels... well, it truthfully feels like I've got an uncomfortable piece of plastic in my butt. It's pleasing at first out of the sheer kinkiness of it, but gets old pretty quickly.

Only if you are used to using penises/dildos/probes as wide as the largest diameter of the plug. otherwise, look for something smaller.

If you are completely new to the anal thing, I'd try something with a thin shaft, like the Njoy Small Plug.

Does anyone find the length on this an issue? Im not sure if everyone is different or what but when i tried this i found it hard to get past the widest girth. I know that it being wide wasn't the issue because i had used a toy slightly wider.

Classic butt plug royal - can someone confirm specs

Also, can someone actually take a tape measure and confirm the circumfrence? At this size even a quarter inch makes a difference. -

The picture you've linked is the old style. It was significantly larger than the new one, and had a very flimsy base that has been known to fold up and follow the rest of the toy in to your bum.
As far as I know, you can't find the old one online. Vendor's simply haven't updated the pictures, but it's identical to the white one (which seems to be updated more frequently).
The current model is somewhere between 2, to 2.25" in diameter. It's no where near 2.5"
I was an original owner of the larger model, but was never able to accommodate it's entire girth (I swear it was well over 2.5"). I ended up tossing it during a move, without realizing that it's impossible to find anymore. The new version just doesn't live up to the original, but the sturdy base is a welcomed improvement. -

That's too bad- it looks like the widest point could be closer to the tip on this one.
Is it one of those plugs that has an inner piece and outer layer with air in-between, or is it solid rubber?
And on that note, it is rubber, so use condoms if sharing!
Haha. It feels like a piece of plastic. Probably not the best thing to be thinking when you're supposed to be turned on.
If you liked this one, i recommend getting a good quality silicone one that is easier to clean and lasts longer. You might like the sensation better too.
I agree that the A-bomb is probably your best bet. It is not quite as large a diameter as this one, and it costs alot more, but in the long run, I think you will enjoy it more and it should outlast this one. You can really take a large plug! Thanks for the review.
