Goodfella's Little Brother

The only thing I could find wrong about this toy was the color. Not that it bothered me, but it was unrealistic looking. Everything else was just as a toy should be, perfect. I do not see how you could go wrong with the Spur.

Material / Texture

Spur is made from vixskin. "Vixskin is a semi-organic polymer, known for wide-ranging stability and water repellence. VixSkin boasts the superior hygienic qualities of silicone while retaining the realistic look and feel of cyberskin."

Vixskin is a soft, flexible, and smooth. It has a firm inner core, covered by the soft, pliable outer core. It has the feel of real skin, at least as far as sex toys go. Vixskin is the closest thing to real skin I have ever felt.

Design / Shape / Size

This is designed to look like a real penis. It is very realistic. I picked out the vanilla color, so it is too pale in color compared to a real penis (at least mine). That is the only downfall in the design. The head is nice and pronounced. You can feel it inside you. There really aren't any veins on the shaft. I do not know if they would add to or take away from the pleasure.

The shaft has a slight curve to it. But because of the flexibility, the curve does not aid to any p-spot or g-spot pleasure. Spur is 5 1/2 inches long, 4 3/4 inches being usable. And he has a 1 1/4 inch diameter. This is the perfect size for anal play. A little on the small side for vaginal pleasure. But we have his bigger brother, goodfella, for that. This one was purchased for anal play.

Performance

This dildo performed well. But only for anal. It was too small for any vaginal play. It will work for that, but it was just too short and thin to give her any real pleasure. But for anal play, it shined. It was used for double penetration play, and strap on fun. It worked flawlessly for both. The flared base was not so big that it got in the way during DP play, but big enough to stay in the o-ring on the harness. Cant ask for much more, right?

Care and Maintenance

Vixskin is just like silicone (I think its just a marketing ploy to name the material vixskin), so you need to treat it like silicone. Only use water based lubes with your spur. Some may look at that as a con, I personal enjoy using water based lubes. On the good side, you can sanitize your spur with only a little easy work. You can boil him in water for 3 minutes, put him in the dishwasher, wash him with soap and water, use a toy cleaner, or a bleach solution. So many options, right? This is one of the reasons I love silicone. You can store your spur in the plastic tube he came in, or just about anywhere else. Just be careful to not let him sit for extended amounts of time in contact with other silicone toys. Mine stays pretty clean just sitting in the tube he came with, even with no top on the tube he stays clean.

He comes in a clear plastic tube with a black tube cap on each end. There is a little bit of information printed on the tube. There is a company label on the front of the tube. On the back you get some information about Vixskin and how to care for it. Also, this toy is made in the USA, if that is important to you. It is to me.

Personal comments

Like I said, this toy is made in America. That is a very important selling point for us. That is a true example of a green toy. Less miles traveled to your bedroom. More DEQ regulations then the third world countries they usually come from, which means cleaner air and water. And as a added bonus, you are supporting a American job. Sounds like a win win situation to me. Plus we have added a fun toy to our collection.
Follow-up commentary
we still love this toy. The material feels life like. It has held up very well. Still looks brand new. I just wish you could use silicone lube with it. But its a small price to pay for a great feeling dildo. I cant recommend Vixskin enough. It feels so life like.

well, it measures out to 1 1/4 inch diameter like the product page states. I know that alot of products I have purchased have varied some on the diameters and lengths then what they had stated, but this one is pretty true. It is alittle on the thin side, but it works great for our anal play.
