Great Anchor, Too Firm

For the price, this is a decent probe. The handle gives you piece of mind while playing and the graduated nubs add a nice sensation. The firmness may be a bit too much for beginners, but if you're used to glass probes, the size of this probe may be just what you're looking for.

Use

The Deep Anchor Probe looks perfect at first glance. It has graduated nubs for pleasure and a sturdy handle that also acts as a Stop/Base for those concerned about accidental disappearing acts...

I’m fairly new at anal play, but I wasn’t put off at the size of this probe. The good thing about this material is that we didn’t smell any nasty odors right out of the package.

This is no doubt marketed for anal use, however I did start off using it vaginally. For me, it was a bit too hard as if I were using a glass probe instead of TPE/TPR. It didn't do much for me vaginally so we proceeded to use it anally.

My male partner and I used plenty of lube. It’s recommended that you use silicone or water-based lubricant. We inserted it one bulge at a time which was about ¼” larger than the last. You could definitely feel each of them enter and it was pleasurable. I do want to say again though that although the description says "The TPE material is phthalate-free and semi-firm for easy insertion, while still maintaining some pliability", I have to say I thought it TOO firm. If I didn't pick this out myself, I would have sworn my partner was using a glass probe on me. This firmness may be the deal breaker for some and the reason for only 4 stars out of 5.

I definitely think it's a decent probe for beginners, but would suggest something less firm.

Material / Texture

I mentioned this before and I really cannot say it enough, this deep anchor probe was a bit on the firm side, although the size is great for beginners, you might want to consider something a little less firm.

The great thing about TPE is that it is Latex Free (which some of us have an allergy to!) and it doesn't smell (and they don't need to add "grape smell" to try to cover up any nasty odor.)

Quite a few anal plugs out there can take a page from this deep anchor probe. The handle on the end is great where it's easy to place the anchor in the right position without much fuss along with the added benefit of not having to worry about the whole thing disappearing.

The texture, 4 graduated bulbs are just the right size as they enter. They didn't cause me any pain but with 1/4 more added to it's size than the last one, it was somewhat pleasurable.

I do want to add that while the probe took up residence in my ass, my male partner entered me vaginally and commented that it made me feel "tighter" and that with each thrust, he could feel the nubs on the probe. All in all, he liked the whole experience with saying that the only thing that would make it better would be that it "buzzed".

Design / Shape / Size

I believe this shape and size of the Deep Anchor Probe would be a good fit for average users. I'm fairly new at Anal play, and I enjoyed it..although like I said, it was a bit too firm for my personal preference.

It worked well for me, I didn't have any problems with it and I really loved the fact that I wasn't constantly worrying about whether or not it was going to play a disappearing act and I'd be yet another embarrassed patient at the ER!

The probe is small enough for traveling if you so chose to bring it along, however I could think of other toys I'd rather bring with me when traveling.

As for this probe having a "realistic look", it really does look like a purple anchor! Luckily, it's not as big as most anchors out in the real world. The probes size is perfect. I wouldn't call it too big nor too small. It's comfortable enough for first timers to play with, yet big enough for intermediate users who also play vaginally at the same time. Either way, your surely to have a good time without worrying about the whole thing disappearing however, you may want something a little less firm.

Performance

I was surprised that this was a California Exotic and not a Doc Johnson. This type of quality is usually found with the latter. The size of this toy is not so overwhelming to where it would be lost in your toy box until you found more courage to play with it. It's small enough for beginners, yet it's just one of those toys that would be used by the most seasoned players.

Most of all, I loved the sturdy, large handle. I'm tired of worrying if I'm going to lose my toy while playing. With this deep probe anchor, there are no worries.

The only thing I would personally change about this probe is the firmness. For those used to glass play, this wouldn't phase you at all, but for anal newbies like myself, it just may be the deal breaker that prevents you from using it...until your ready.

Care and Maintenance

TPE/TPR
TPR has an excellent flexural fatigue resistance and high impact strength.

TPR is less porous than cyberskin but more porous than silicone, so use condoms when sharing. TPR toys cannot be disinfected with boiling water. You can wash them with warm water and toy cleaner or mild soap. I always wash before and after each use. I also keep all my toys separated from touching each other when I store them. You'll notice with some toys, they seem to "melt" their color on other toys they are touching.

Lubricants
Use either Silicone, water-based lubricants. I always tend to use the water-based lubricants.

Anything less than pure silicone, glass or steel makes me super nervous to use as an anal toy. Even then I use condoms over my silicone dildos so I don't cross contaminate. Germaphobe!
