Great basic plug

Definitely worth buying as a good, dependable butt plug. Highly recommended for people who enjoy anal play but aren't quite sure what size/shape of plug to buy. Start here and figure out what else you might like.

Use

Although I'm experienced with anal play, this is the first plug I've bought. I found it to be relatively easy to insert and extremely comfortable once placed.

I used it on its own and it was really comfortable, although I think the base might be too large to comfortably wear the plug for extended periods of time, like under clothing or something. Best use was in combination with my vibrator link. (Disclaimer: I didn't buy my vibrator online, but it is very similar to the previous link.) I tried insertion of the vibrator and enjoyed the fullness from both toys, but the explosion came with the combo of the plug and my vibe for clitoral stimulation. I also tried it with a larger, glass dildo link for vaginal penetration and enjoyed it, but I could imagine that this would be too stiff of a sensation for some users.

This doesn't happen with every use, but the plug did pop out once or twice at orgasm. Personally I found the sensation enjoyable, and didn't have a problem with it, but some users might.

Material / Texture

The plug is made of extremely smooth silicone but has a great firmness to it. I read some reviews that said the material tended to absorb odor... I've only had it for a few days so I can't comment on that yet, but I will say that I used it and washed it and it doesn't really smell. The silicone itself has a slight odor that I can't quite place, but I don't find it offensive by any means. Since the plug is white (and you put it in your butt), I can imagine that it might become slightly smelly and discolored over time, but I don't think that's anything a good cleaning can't handle.

Design / Shape / Size

I love the feel of this plug. The taper was perfect for me, and I felt like I was getting the perfect amount of stretch while I was putting it in, and once it was in it gave me a great, full feeling. Beginners with anal play may find the plug to be too large. I'd suggest starting with the smaller size link, but for intermediate users used to anal sex this is a great sized toy.

As I mentioned before, the circular base makes the plug a little bit uncomfortable for long-time wear. If that's your main usage, I would suggest getting something with a slightly narrower, maybe rectangular base. The retrieving ring is a great touch, too, definitely makes the plug easy to remove.

Width: 1 1/2 inches at widest, taper starts at 1/2 inch. Neck is about 1 inch. Base is about 1 3/4 inches.

Performance

I had a great time using this plug, and can't wait to continue using it. The taper was perfect for insertion and removal, and the ring helped out with taking it out. It just made me feel so full and it was really comfortable. The only downside was that it did come out once or twice, but like I said before, this wasn't a big problem for me.

I haven't used it with a partner yet, but I definitely am planning on trying and will update the review when I do so.

Care and Maintenance

I clean my sex toys after every use, sometimes with a toy cleaner but most of the time with just plain old soap and water. The great thing about this plug is that it's silicone so you can pretty much clean it however the heck you want to. I will probably end up boiling it every so often, especially if it gets a smell like some of the other reviewers suggest it will.

I used it with regular water-based lube, and it was a great combination. Downside to silicone toys is no silicone lube, but I didn't have any problems using a water-based lubricant. The silicone and the lube made the toy extremely easy to insert.

I have a few other plastic toys, and I store them all in the same place. Apparently silicone and other plastics can react really weirdly (this hasn't happened to me yet), so I always wrap each toy in cotton so they don't touch each other in the box.

Packaging

Came in plastic contoured to the toy. It wouldn't be suitable for storage as the packaging is almost twice as big as the toy. No directions, but they aren't really necessary. Don't open the package in front of someone if you don't want them to know you bought a butt plug -- it says "PLUG OF LUST" in big letters, there's a sensuous naked lady, and the toy itself is clearly visible. Best thing about the packaging was that it describes the toy as "The restrainer for your tight lust chamber".

Personal comments

I'm pretty happy I chose this plug for my first -- great size, shape and feel. Just to be clear, though, this plug would probably be too big for a complete beginner.
Follow-up commentary
It's not that I DON'T like this plug anymore, I just like it less than other things I have since come to own.

So, in terms of cleaning and smell, I've cleaned this plug after each use and it hasn't gotten discolored and it doesn't smell funky. That's a plus.

Still feels great inside. I've used it with a partner since my first review, and now I understand what other users were saying when they said it popped out. For me, it tends to pop out right at orgasm, which I still don't mind but could be annoying and potentially messy. It's still not great for long term wear. For that, I like one of these bad boys (small, medium or large). Which, by the way, if you're looking for an upgrade from the Plug of Lust, I totally recommend.

Congrats on your first review! Just a couple of things that weren't very clear... you used it in combination with your vibrator and a glass dildo... how? which ones?

A bit more information on measurements would have been appreciated as well.

Welcome to eden and congrats on your first review. This is a plug that I absolutely love and I have never had problems with these except some discoloration over time which can easily be removed with a good scrub.

I would definitely add some more info. People who read reviews would probably want to know a little more info about cleaning, storing, and multiple usages. You did a good job at listing the typical things, nonetheless. People just like to see more ideas on ways to use their toys. It will get you higher ratings

Also, you should link the other toys you used this one with! I would love to see If you ever need anything feel free to message me!

Great review! Unfortunately I'm looking for a butt plug that will hold up over time and not become smelly or discolored. The circular part is a little offsetting as well since it looks like an oddly shaped child's pacifier.

  • how well does the PLug of Lust Large stay in?
    • i wanna make a fox tail butt plug, and i need one with a loop--this looks amazingly perfect...just worried about it staying in while i'm walking around :o( what do you guys think?
