Metal Worx Slim Fave - double ended dildo by Pipedream - review by Mr. & Mrs. Peg

At first glance, the Metal Worx Slim Fave wand is absolutely gorgeous. It tickled my id and I just had to have it. The size and shape of it are perfect and just couldn't wait to have it inside of me. I ordered it along with the Night Nurse costume and had conjured up all sorts of quasi medical fantasies involving Mrs. Peg, my prostate and the Slim Fave.



When the Slim Fave arrived, however, I was filled more with disappointment than desire. This product is NOT made from surgical stainless steel, like its Njoy counterparts. In fact, the packaging states that it is “nickel-free” ( a component of surgical stainless steel). It also states that is is only made from “high-quality stainless steel.” This “high-quality”steel is hand-polished for a high shine, but we have noticed more than a few imperfections. There are a few areas of discoloration on our Slim Fave. There are also more than a few areas where the surface is not completely uniform. You can see flat spots and even ridges here and there. What is most concerning, however, are the little tiny burrs on the toy. Our plan was to use this anally. I don't really want little micro cuts in my rectum from these tiny, but sharp, little points. I am positive that someone would not want these vaginally as well. We own almost all of the Njoy styles. They have a mirror finish. These do not.



Over time I do not know how this will hold up. I assume that with care, corrosion will not be a problem. However, because I can't confirm that it is made from some variant of stainless (even if it isn't surgical stainless), I can't be sure it won't corrode.



I will say that it feels great in the hands. It is a wonderful size and weight. The bubbly end serves more as a handle than a plug, but I am sure it could be used as that as well. The head is nicely shaped and I really like the contours along the shaft. There is so much to like about the design of this toy. Unfortunately the quality leaves a bit to be desired.



I will also say that the case that this comes in is great. It looks like a faux aluminum technical box, like you would put a high-end camera in. When it arrives it isn't really all that discreet because there is a picture of the Slim Fave right on the outside. However, this sticker can be easily peeled off and it just looks like a small case. This is a nice touch.



The problem is….I like shiny things (THANKS TIM!!) and I really want to try more of the Metal Worx line. I just can't bring myself to risk the disappointment though. I am going to stick with my other STAINLESS (and much more expensive) steel toys. I just feel safer that way.

I sent this back and I am eagerly awaiting my refund. We have our eyes on something fun, safe and made from materials we are sure of. I will say that I have heard complaints from others on this line. I am relieve in a way that I am not the only one.
