Great Idea, Ok Execution

This toy does a little bit of everything. It can act as anal beads while also stimulating the prostate. Some beginners may even like trying this out in a harness. It's easy enough to insert and is very stimulating. With a few design changes, this would be a five star toy.

Use

The P-spot is an interesting mix between a prostate massager and a set of anal beads. Since it is designed for the prostate it is mostly targeted at men, although it can also be used by women as well. Being made out of silicone, this toy can be used for temperature play, in which you either heat it up or cool it down to provide different stimulation. Due to its design, this toy will not stay in if you try to move with it in. Because of this, its best use is in situations where you or your partner can manipulate the toy with your hand. It does not provide much stimulation on its own because, unlike other prostate massagers, this toy will not move in and out on its own solely from kegel contractions. Thus, manual movement is necessary to rub against the prostate and stimulate the anal opening. While it won't stay in on its own, it can still be used up for warmup, either to a larger toy/penis or preparing for thrusting with this toy.

This toy doesn't scream sex toy and it's fairly small, so it would be suitable for traveling: the main hesitation here is the base has the manufacturer's name, Doc Johnson, on it. While a bit too short for serious strap-on usage, The P-spot does have a harness compatible base. The best use in a harness would be for anal play.

Material / Texture

The P-spot is made out of silicone, which is not only great during use but also makes cleanup and sharing easy. The silicone used is a marble or granite type color. It has a little glitter to it, but it's not overpowering. The silicone is fairly firm, although it does have a little give to it. Comparatively, it's fairly similar to Tantus' silicone. It has no taste and has the very slightest of a sweet smell out of the box. It does not hold onto odors after use and is easily cleaned with soap and water. The silicone used has a fair amount of grip to it and is slightly sticky. Adequate lubrication overcomes this. It also has a tendency to collect dust like most silicone toys. Being made out of silicone also means it does not contain any phthalates.

Design / Shape / Size

As mentioned in the use section, this toy is a somewhat unique blend of a prostate massager and anal beads. It has a very front leaning design that some may like and some may not. Despite its front lean, It will stand up on its own. Overall, it works fairly well. Its two weaknesses are: #1, the base is not good for use handheld, which is the main way this toy will be used; #2, the last bump is too close to the base to be able to insert it all the way, so only the two smaller ripples actually get used. The base is 2.5" across, and the toy is about 1.5" at its widest point, with a little over 4.25" insertable.

Performance

This toy's biggest positive is it successfully stimulates both the anal opening and prostate at the same time while thrusting. With a little bit better design, this would be an all star toy. It is fairly easy to insert despite its unusual shape, and thrusting feels very good. The base is flat, but unfortunately does not provide enough suction to use as a suction cup.

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is very easy to care for and clean. For those not sharing, a simple wash in soap and water is adequate. Sterilization is possible by boiling in water or soaking in a water/bleach solution. This allows the toy to be used vaginally or orally even after being used anally, or for sharing between partners. The two cautions, as with most silicone toys: #1, to store the toy so that it doesn't touch any other toys - it could react and cause discoloring or even cause the toy to "melt"; #2, don't use silicone lube as this can cause a reaction as well. Outside of these two items, any silicone toy should last for many years.

Packaging

This toy comes in decent packaging. It's easy to open and has no porn or lewd content, but is not the most discreet either. It will function ok for storage, and you can even remove the packaging insert to help make it a little more discreet. The packaging does take up a fair amount of room though, and there are definitely better options for storage for those that don't have a lot of room to spare.

Personal comments

One interesting thing I noted while doing this review is that this toy is made in the USA, which some may appreciate. Overall, this toy left me a little disappointed. Its weaknesses take away from what could have been a five star toy, by merely having an easier to grab base and a slightly longer length. I have several toys that either stimulate the anal opening or prostate better, but this toy does an excellent job of doing both. I'm tempted to give it four stars but I'm afraid its weaknesses prevent this.
