Great Idea, Poor Execution

It's a nice idea. A simple, easy to use douche for cleaning out before anal play. Unfortunately, the sharp corners on the ribbed attachment make that painful to use, and without the attachment, it's too pointy for me to have any interest in having it in delicate places.

The Colt Anal Douche is a very simple device intended primarily for cleaning out the rectum before anal play, though it could presumably be used to clean other orifices, as well. The idea is pretty simple: You fill the bulb part up with lukewarm (body temperature) water, or a mild solution of soap and water, insert the business end into the rectum, and squeeze. Then you hold the water inside yourself for a bit, and let it out.

It isn't a full-fledged enema, the bulb doesn't hold enough water for that. But I generally find myself that two "applications" are sufficient to clean me out well enough for a good long session. It's a whole lot easier to use something like this then to set up the whole enema business.

That said, I stopped using the Colt Anal Douche after a few trials for two reasons. First of all, this looks and feels dangerous to me if used without the ribbed attachment. The pointy bit isn't sharp by any means, but it seems to me like it would be way to easy to slip while one is inserting it and have it injure or even puncture the rectum, which would be very bad news indeed. (Try explaining that to the ER doctor.) So, I'm just not going to go there.

But the ribbed attachment is no good either. If you look in the picture below, you will see that the "bloop" at the very top has a seam running around its midsection. This is because the attachment is actually two parts: the base, which attaches to the bulb, and a "tip", that screws onto the base. The water does not squirt out of the tip, but actually comes out from where the seam is. You have to slightly unscrew the tip to allow the water out. The more you unscrew it, the more water flows. That, however, is a very big problem. Not only is there then a gap where the seam otherwise would be, but the "corners" that come together at the seam are kind of sharp(at least on mine), and they do not feel good at all going in or coming out.

So, frankly, I used this thing a few times and then threw it away. There are lots of similar devices available here.
