Round butt plug large by Doc Johnson - review by Just Tigger

As the name says, this is intended for the butt. This plug could be used for both anal play and vaginal play; I think that due to it's shape and size it may provide nice g-spot stimulation for those who could insert it, but really it's intended use is for the butt.

This is not the type of toy for thrusting in and out, but more for sliding it in and then enjoying the sensation of the plug filling you up and pressing on your p / g-spot.

I found this toy comfortable once inserted. The shape and length of the shaft and base, and the overall firmness lends itself to sitting comfortably in place. This is great if you intend to keep the plug in for extended periods, as it does not hamper movement. The unique shape ensures that once it's in, it is nice and snug; you can relax and not worry about it falling out.

Removal of the plug was easy and the base of the plug gave nice purchase and made removal easy, even when there was lube all over the base.

This cute round plug is manufactured from PVC and Sil-a-gel, which is an anti-bacterial, non-toxic formula that is free from latex and cadmium, according to the packaging. The plug is well constructed from "body-safe" material, as stated on the packaging, although PVC only earns a 2 on the EdenFantasys material safety scale. The plug is smooth and shiny with a soft texture. A little lube makes the plug's surface nice and slippery. The plug itself has a great solid feel, with a little give when pressure is applied. The plug also has a nice weight to it. The one draw back from the two part construction is that the outer shell (at least on my plug) has come adrift from the inner core. This is something I have experienced with these types of toys in the past. This is most probably due to air trapped between the layers at the time of manufacture.

Reading the other reviews of this plug I was a little concerned; the other reviews indicated that they thought the plug was huge, or much too large for insertion. On receiving the package, I opened it with a little trepidation, then whipped it out and went "aww... its not that big!"

Speaking of the size, it's 8 1/2" in circumference when measured horizontally, and spherical in shape. This means unlike other plugs it has no nice taper to make insertion easy, thus a little bit of force needs to be applied to get it in. As a result of the shape and size, which is on the large size of the average butt plug, I would say this plug is best suited for the more advanced users, or those who are well into anal play and like their toys a little bigger.

I found the plug comfortable once inserted, and it went in nice and smoothly, albeit with a little effort to get going. The stem of the plug (space between the round bulb and the base) is a good length at one and a half inches, and has a pleasant thickness of 4 inches in circumference. The base of the plug is nice and rounded with a low profile, that I found was comfortable when walking around, or sitting on a chair with it inserted. For those who like the facts and figures, the base measured approximately 21/2" inches across.

I like the design, as it makes a great wide plug which is not too long, and the neck of the plug is just the right length, once inserted, to make moving around comfortable. All in all, I would say this plug does the trick if you are looking for a wide filling plug that is comfortable to wear around the house, or while being adventurous with your partner.

The plug in short performs as I expected it to. It provides a nice full feeling when inserted. It is easy for me to insert and remove, due to the firmness of the plug. It is comfortable for long term wear, as the stem of the plug is just the right length, and the base is not too wide as to make walking awkward. It is also nice and flat so that it is comfortable to sit on.

Having only recently received the plug, I have not had much time to experiment with it but the shape size and sensation received from it once inserted are fantastic. To me this plug would be the plug to use if you are looking for some nice anal stimulation when engaging in other sexual activities, or if you were just looking for some anal stimulation while going about your daily activities.

As the plug is manufactured from PVC, care is relatively simple; a good wash with soap and water should do the trick. However it must be said that when sharing toys safe play is always advisable, particularly when it comes to porous materials. If swapping between anal and vaginal use or sharing with a partner, please use condoms and change condoms between uses. With the two part construction and the PVC material, I would definately not boil this plug. Stick to water that is tolerable to your hands, and any soap (anti-bacterial, if you want) should be all you need. Storage is simple; either in the bottom of a drawer or basket. Pretty much anywhere out of direct sun or source of heat will work. Not that it needs to be kept cool, but the material that it is constructed from will not react well to sunlight over an extended period, so the windowsill or on top of a heater is out. As a matter of course, I recommend cleaning all toys before and after playtime.

The packaging is fairly typical of Doc Johnson; minimal packaging that tells you exactly what the product is.

The plug is attractively displayed in a clear plastic container with a paper insert. Clear black text proclaims to the world what the plug is.

I found that despite the plain, no-frills packaging, it told you everything you needed to know.

I have never been disappointed with Doc Johnson toys; they deliver what they promise, are in general good value for money and are well-made.

This plug fills a gap in my toy collection quite nicely - a large, short, comfortable plug for extended wear. I am looking forward to many hours of pleasure from this plug.

I have not had much chance to play around with this plug other than to pop it in, and wander around a bit. I am looking forward to trying it out in a variety of situations. Would I leave the house with it in? Probably not, unless it was a very short trip.

This plug is a great change to the standard plug shape. For me it is an excellent buy as it gives me a nice full feeling, that one gets when using larger toys, but without the length and large base that makes it awkward to walk around with or uncomfortable to sit on. The plug is discreet enough to be worn under clothes and can fill a gap in any anal toy collection for someone looking for a different shaped toy, or looking for a larger toy (width-wise, without the length).
