Great Plug for "full" feeling

This is a great toy. It is large, but not TOO large. It gives a full feeling and its design maximizes it. Once in, it will stay in and the base will prevent it from going inside. It is quite comfortable to wear.

Use

This is a great toy for using during sex, masturbating and even for extended wear "out and about". You want to make sure that it's lubed up if you do go for extended wear. The plug is not meant for thrusting, as the lower angle near the neck is quite steep. The flare on the bottom is great and you don't have to worry about it falling out. The 1.5 inches diameter is a bit large for a beginner and I would advise for using a 1 inch toy first, as it will be more comfortable.

Material / Texture

The material is a silicone that is quite firm on the top part. The neck is significantly more bendable and is quite comfortable. The silicone is firm enough to insert easily, but the large angled tip, instead of a pointy type tip, makes up for the firmness. A little lube goes a long way with the silicone here. And with the tip like it is, you WILL need lube, as the diameter of the tip is not significantly different from the maximum diameter of 1.5 inches.

The base of the plug is quite sturdy. It will bend so it can fit comfortably between your cheeks but it will not bend enough for the plug to slip inside of you. The silicone gets quite slick with lube, but is very sticky without lube and you won't be able to put it in.

Design / Shape / Size

The Ryder is 1.5 inches in diameter at its widest point. The tip of the Ryder is not that much different so putting it in could possibly be difficult if you're butt isn't used to the size. A plug that starts smaller and works its way up to 1.5 inches would be better, but the design of the Ryder maximizes the "full" feeling. Once the plug is in, you will understand what I mean. What it lacks in insertion ease, it makes up for in feeling. The base will not go inside of you, so you won't have to worry. It is quite comfortable for extended wear if you don't plan on large movements. If you plan on walking a lot, the size might become uncomfortable after a while.

Performance

This is a great toy. Its size is great for the "full" feeling. It is ok for extended wear and I never have to worry about it falling out or it going inside of me. It could be a bit intimidating when you first look at it, but it's no big deal if you have enough lube, it will go right in if you aren't a beginner. I'm sure some beginners could start with this, but a 1 inch would be much better.

This toy is VERY comfortable while sitting and is VERY noticeable inside of you. You won't forget it's there.

Care and Maintenance

It is very easy to care for. Cleaning is a breeze, as it's dishwasher safe. It will collect dust and what not which will stick to the silicone, so make sure to rinse it off (already cleaned) before you use it.

It came in a simple plastic package, very minimal. I would not store the toy in this box and it's probably too flimsy to wrap up.

Some people have mentioned problems with the Ryder base. Although I'm with you and haven't had a problem, I figured I would mention it. Sounds like you have fun with it. Thanks for the review.

I could see how it could be a problem to some people, but the base is very well rounded so it's pretty comfortable. As I said, it isn't the most comfortable for extended wear. For extended wear, I would prefer the plug to have a slightly smaller neck. That's why I want to try out the Njoy pure plug. It's supposed to be top of the line and extremely comfortable.

      Yes, it sure has been discontinued. It was weird - Copper was a slow seller, and we got some feedback from retailers that it wasn't at all popular. Then when we discontinued last Spring it got snapped up pretty quickly. I only have closeouts left, but we're hoping that by discontinuing Copper we'll have more time in the production schedule to pursue other colors.

    • Some, not all silicone lube will 'stick' to silicone material. I have read that some premium silicone lubes will work with some premium silicone materials. You can try some on the base and see, when I last tried it kinda etched the silicone material. (does that make sense) It left a indentation were the lube was.

      That's the basics, Some of the other members can give a more technical answer.
    • Some silicone lubes will bond to some silicones. This seems to be more of an issue the softer the silicone is, so toys like O2 and VixSkin will be more susceptible (makes sense, as the silicone has fewer crosslinks). Quality lubes seem to have less of a problem also, and it is likely that cheaper silicones might have more of a problem.

      I have tested quality silicone lube on several quality silicone toys and did not notice a permanent problem, but (a) the toys developed "hives" that lasted for a few hours (was gone the next day) and (b) it's really hard to clean the silicone lube off of the toys, but it can be done. While this is purely subjective, but it seemed that the silicone lube wasn't as "lubey" on silicone toys. I don't use silicone lube on silicone toys anymore - it's just not worth the trouble.
