Great prostate massager for everyone
Although at first this felt like a bit much for my first prostate massager, I'm very pleased with it all around and would recommend it for anyone (with the advice of "start slow, go slow" for beginners like myself). Insertion was comfortable, the shape of the toy hits all the right spots, and the vibrator is powerful but not so much that it's overly distracting.Published: February 10, 2012
Pros:
Good amount of vibration
Cons:
Won't stay in place
Use
As a beginner to prostate stimulation, my initial impression of the Rude Boy was that it is not a beginner's toy and I should have gotten something different to start off with. Once I had it in my hands, the diameter seemed a tad wide, and the overall shape and length a bit daunting although it didn't strike me as such when I researched it beforehand. With that said, it only took a few minutes of use before my opinion changed, and all hesitation evaporated.
To backtrack just a bit, when I was making my short-list of first time massagers to choose from, I selected those whose shape had a more distinct curve because I'd read that toys/massagers of this shape have the best chance of making contact with the prostate, and are the easiest to get positive results with. I settled on the Rude Boy specifically for its shape...if this flexible, hook shaped massager can't tickle my prostate, I figured that nothing but long, straight/rigid toys would.

Material / Texture
When dry, the material that the Rude Boy is made from feels a bit grabby - I was worried how the silicone would feel even when fully lubed, but I quickly found there was nothing to worry about at all. It is completely smooth, except for perineum massager, with no bumps, seams, or ridges to complicate insertion. It's also rather flexible and easy to bend - one of the first things I did was bend it so that it was nearly straight, and it did so very easily. I suspect this helps fit the toy to the internal shape of the users body and position, helping avoid any uncomfortable poking due to positioning (I was sitting semi-reclined during my first use, and it would fit differently then had I been laying flat or sitting upright). It's also pretty firm - not at all squishy - which I found made it easy for me to grip and squeeze with my anus. The only downside to doing this was that the toy has a tendency to rotate a bit, which surprised me - I expected that its shape would keep it aligned the same way I put it in.

Design / Shape / Size
For the first few minutes, the Rude Boy was slightly uncomfortable due to its size - while this was only the second time I had had a toy in my ass, I was still a bit surprised that the Rude Boy's 1 inch diameter felt a little challenging. However, with the addition of some extra lube, and pulling it halfway way out to just enjoy the vibrations inside my rectum, I was acclimated to its size in minutes. Once I was able to comfortably work all 6 insertable inches of the toy inside me, it hit all the right spots.

Performance
This is a very straightforward toy to use...as a complete newcomer to this sort of play, I found no particular learning curve in getting the most out of it on my first use. My only complaint is that other than sitting on it, or holding it in place with a hand, there's no way to keep it in place when fully inserted. I found myself really wanting for use of both my hands, but one was always occupied with keeping the toy in position because I couldn't find a comfortable way to sit on it.

- Easy to use

Care and Maintenance
Being waterproof, cleanup is pretty straightforward. The easiest way would probably be to just stick it in the dishwasher (after removing the bullet), but I haven't tried that yet. I opted for hand cleaning with anti-bacterial soap and hot water, and letting it air dry. Once dry, I put it back in the nice box it came in...easy done.

Packaging
The Rude Boy comes in a nice box, but the see-through plastic of the front shows the contents, and in my opinion the contents are very obviously a sex toy of one sort or another. There were no instructions in my box, but I really didn't need any...I knew what I was getting in advance, where it was supposed to go, and since there's only one button to push it's pretty self explanatory.

Personal comments
I've had my Rude Boy for about a month...it was an early holiday gift from my wife. Prior to using it, my only experience with prostate play was with the glass dildo my wife used on me a week or so before I used the Rude Boy for the first time. There are obvious differences in solo and couple play, as well as rigid and flexible toys, and while I'm definitely enjoying all of the above I find myself gravitating more towards enjoying my wife going at my ass hammer and tongs with smooth, glass toys. Most likely this is because it was my first experience, and was so overwhelmingly incredible...but that's not to say that my Rude Boy will collect any dust, or have its original battery for more than another few months at most. I do have my eye on the Lelo Billy, which is both rigid and vibrating, but that will be the topic of another review.

What an absolutely excellent first review---I've loved working on it with you. I'm impressed, too, I don't think I would have felt up to such an intense curve for my first toy, but I'm glad it was a success for you!
This IS a great first review! Nice job. Your mentor did you proud!! I do have a couple of Rocks Off products!

I agree - I dislike how this line of toys won't stay in place. Congrats on your first review and welcome to EF.
