First off, let me say that I am still relatively new to the scene of anal toys. After all, being a straight male, I just recently learned of the joys of orgasm compounded by anal play and would absolutely recommend this to any one interested in anal play. The Ripple is made of high-quality medical silicone which is the preferred material for toys inserted into the body since they are pure and will never incite any type of reaction from your body to foreign material.

The Ripple works great as an anal plug and dildo. As a plug, the Ripple does have a tendency to slip out since the graduated shape may not always hold the Ripple inside. The Ripple basically has a graduated shape almost like several anal beads stacked onto one another which means it starts off small and ends in a 1" diameter. While this might be considered small for some advanced players, I think that for a beginner, this is a perfect size and even perfect for advanced players as a way to warm up.

I chose the black color which looks amazing with a clean simple look. It slightly shiny at first. Cleanup is very easy. You can clean with soap, place in a dishwasher, or boil (as I'm told but have never done),. This may retain a bit of a smell after anal play, but I find that cleaning it with some scented antibacterial soap is the way to go and will get rid of the faint smell.

The base of the Ripple is a large, circular, almost sticky base, so you can place it on a hard surface and it will stay upright. The Ripple is a bit flexible, so although you can use it on a harness as a strap-on, I'm not sure it will be all that easy to do given its slight flexibility.

For women, my girlfriend found it to be a bit small for vaginal play (yes, we cleaned that sucker really well before attempting that one) but still provided some pleasure as a vaginal toy.

Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and continue to love nights that involve the Ripple.
