Gumdrops butt plug - anal toy by Doc Johnson - review by Terry Briggs

What initially turned me on about the Gumdrops Butt Plug was the odd shape that the plug had. Not only did it promise easy insertion from the picture but also promised a bit of a challenge from the properties page. It seemed like the perfectly toy, starting off small and then building up to a diameter of 2 inches at it's widest. It sounded orgasmic and the thoughts almost had me buying it just by aesthetics and promise of pleasure. I stopped myself, however, from shelling out the $18.99 and put it on the wish-list.

Unfortunately, when I opened the box that the Gumdrop Butt Plug was shipped in I was confused. Obviously, I had not read the properties correctly for this plug. It's total length was only 4 1/2" and while that's nothing to bat your eyes at for a beginner, it was enough for me to have a second look at the properties page. Sure enough, it's listed.

Oh well, I didn't ask for this based off insertable length otherwise I would have stuck to my already existing arsenal of anal devices. The 2 inch diameter is what we are after and I got that with this plug.

Later on in the evening I decided, "What the hell? Let's give the thing a whirl!" After a decent amount of water-based lubrication on both my ass and the Gumdrop Anal Plug I was ready to go. The first drop went in fine. The PVC, as described, was soft and was real nice. It didn't feel like you were ramming anything abrasive up there. As expected, the first notch wasn't good enough for me--time to go to the 2 inches I've been dying for.

At first, it didn't want to go. After a bit of reapplication of lube, I tried again. The problem was not with the amount of lube or even my cheeks (I am a cheeky fellow.) No, the problem came with the device itself: I could not get total penetration.

Rather than calling the whole experience a wash, I gave myself a little grind with it, in hopes that either I'd get some good prostate stimulation or work it in there the good old fashion way. Prostate stimulation wasn't really there and I didn't get it quite in, but damn, it was pretty satisfying either way; especially while jerking it.

After a few more minutes, I got tired with the grind and wanted the total penetration. I succeeded only while holding it in place with my left hand and then finding an edge of a chair to hold the back in place. With the problem temporarily solved, it felt pretty good--minus the awkward positioning.

As I was nearing my climax, I noticed that the plug was slowly being forced out by my muscles tightening. While it's not entirely the plugs fault, I was hoping that it was stay in a bit longer, I managed to finish just as the plug went back up to the first notch.

For a beginner this could be a decent toy. The first notch is small enough to give a temporary thrill and once they get past that, they can try to get to the second notch. As a guy that's had experience with butt plugs and probes, this didn't satisfy nearly as much as I thought it would.
