Hate to say it Junior...but you smell!

I have to say that this toy is really disappointing. For the current price, I would say that this is actually worth buying just to give anal play a shot. The design is great, but the material is horrible. I wouldn't dare use it without a condom and that really defeats the 'non skid' point. It's a nice toy to use just to see if you like anal plugs before investing, but for actual use, I would say pass this one by.

Use

The Non-skid plug junior is a small, painless way to introduce yourself to the wonders of anal penetration. If it weren't for the horrendous smell of the rubber, I would recommend this to any beginner anal adventurer. I picked this toy up because I was curious about anal play and anal plugs and thought that this would be a nice beginner anal toy. It's very inexpensive, small, and user friendly. However, the porous nature of the rubber and the smell that got on my hands the first time I touched led me to use this toy with a condom only. This toy is good for someone who has never inserted an anal toy before, the tapered end makes insertion easy. It's firm, but not too rigid, making it good for light thrusting. Not having a prostate, I can not say whether or not this would be good for P spot stimulation, but it is quite thin.

Material / Texture

Rubber is extremely durable, but also porous, making it difficult to clean. There seems to be two parts to this plug. There is an outer, textured 'case' over a soft, smooth core. It's hard to describe in a text review, but you can check out my video to see. It's fully fused together, but on the base you can see two different materials.

The skid texture is pronounced, but not overwhelmingly so. Because I used a condom, I couldn't really feel the texture at all. But in my hands, the toy feels grainy and there is a fair amount of drag. I suspect that the texture helps keep the plug in.

The odor is horrendous. It's not quite as bad as jelly, but it comes close. There's a sickly sweet, chemical-y smell to it. Even after washing half a dozen times, the smell has not abated. It gets on my hands and it even lingers in my room! It's really off putting.

Design / Shape / Size

It's a pity that the smell is so bad, because the design is quite nice. It's not a big toy. It's only 3.5 in. with 3 of that insertable and a 1 in. diameter. The plug is straight and has a tapered end and a flared base. It's anal safe and friendly for insertion.

Because it's so thin, this would make for an unobtrusive addition to partner sex. It is easy to insert, doesn't require much warm up, and stays in relatively well during other play. If you are using a condom on it (which is highly recommended for rubber toys and for sharing) and using a lot of lube, the toy may have some trouble staying in.

Performance

I was rather disappointed with this toy. I'm new to anal and wanted a smaller toy to start. But even for me this was too small. I slipped it in and felt, well, nothing. After a while I couldn't even feel it. I tried thrusting--nothing. I tried twisting--nothing. It wasn't painful by any means, but I just didn't get much out of the experience. Tightening my sphincter around the plug produced some nice sensations, but overall I felt that the plug was a bit lack luster.

Care and Maintenance

The toy is a pain in the ass to clean if you don't use a condom. It can not be sterilized, so if you do share, please please please use one! With a condom, it's relatively simple. You can use toy cleaner or wipes or hot water and antibacterial soap, but it can not be sterilized!!!

It is compatible with silicone and water based lube only. Also, don't use an oil based lube if you're going to use this sans condom. It will degrade the latex.

It's a small toy, so it's not hard to find room for this. However, because of the smell and the porous nature of the rubber, I would suggest using a rubber baggie to store this toy.

Packaging

The toy came in a unremarkable Doc Johnson plastic packaging. It was not what I would call discreet, being clear, but it did not have naked women on it, which I did appreciate. I personally use the package to store the toy, but for long term storage it's not really that great.

Thanks for the review. I ordered one of these and have not used it. I did open it up and you can smell the rubbery smell uhroughout an entire room. Four bucks its worth it but I may just this once and get another one with a similar style that is silicone
