Hit dat prostate! It's good.

This is a good toy for a pleasure journey, but it won't likely get you off all by itself. It is perfect for men who are just opening to the idea of ass play.

Pros
Nice curve, and the curled handle is very handy.
Cons
Some models are too long and poke past the prostate gland.

The Aneros is a hard plastic anal toy that has a nice curve to bend toward the prostate once inserted. There is a handy loop handle on the bottom which plays a nice role in your play.

I am usually in the shower when I play with the Aneros . . . the handle tends to get in the way if I am sitting. It works pretty well when laying on a bed, if you shift your hips upward.

Shower play is my preferred use and a good application of Vaseline is necessary. I haven't yet found the lube that can stay effective with this particular toy in the shower.

If you rock your pelvis while standing, the Aneros will pulse against your prostate and create a pretty nice semi-erection to go along with the nice bump. I have not been able to reach a peak without using hands, but their promo materials tout that it's possible.

My favorite feature is the looping handle, just right to hook your index finger around. If you jam the handle forward and back (not in and out), you can create some nice pressure against your prostate and some pleasurable churn in your ass. You can pump in and out with the Aneros, but there are better toys for that type of action.

Orgasm with the Aneros inserted can be incredible. When solo-pleasuring, you might find that you experience the most pleasure while journeying in a less-then-rock-hard state. Not sure if it's the prostate stimulation, but it's usually not my hardest erection. It does increase the volume of my cum, along with increasing my convulsions, when it is inserted at orgasm.

It also feels good during intercourse, although I have known it to slip itself out depending on the position and the style of motion in my thrusts. I'd pick another anal toy during intercourse, I'd say.

There are several different sizes of Aneros. It's important to understand exactly where your prostate is as you enter your anus. Biology can have subtle differences and I find that the longer models miss my prostate and are just anal probes. That well and good, but you should get really good prostate stimulation if you are investing this much.

Good review! I have this problem with my g-spot...it's shallower than most.
  • Contributor: David88
Yes, I think my prostate must be shallower than most as it feels like it's only maybe 1.5 - 2" inside where as I've heard some people's is much deeper like 3 - 4". I think that's part of the reason I like the Aneros Progasm so much because even though the big head is too deep to hit it, it has a second head that seems to hit it quite well. I'd be interested to see how a smaller one like this would hit my prostate but not enough to warrant spending an other $50 on it.

    Thanks for the review!
Have tried using silicone lube with it? You have to pay attention to the shower floor, but I prefer silicone in the shower and I'm not a fan of oil based lubes.

I've only used vaseline (which is fine) and Astroglide water-base. Gotta try silicone!
