Hopper 1 - butt plug discontinued by Orion - review by Chaotic Rantings

I got the Hopper 1 and was looking forward to trying it out. I am new to anal and have been looking for a item to start me out. Upon receiving this item, it was packaged in a nice box that I actually kept and used for storage after using it. When I took it out of the box, my eyes about fell out of my head. This item did not look like it was meant for a beginner and that actually intimidated me a bit. The length of the item alone scared me. It is over four inches long and over an inch in diameter. Anything bigger than my husband's fingers tends to send me running the other direction. But I decided to give it a chance.

I also noticed when I took it out, it had no odor at all, which was really nice. I knew it was silicone and that water based lubes should be used on it. Someone told me using silicone based ones could cause it to melt away and that it would ruin the toy. I went ahead and washed it twice with warm soapy water and let it air dry before taking it back to my room.

Upon examining it further, I noticed the suction cup, which I then tried sticking to everything, including my forehead, because this is kind of person I am. I stuck it on my nightstand, it didn't stay on the wood. Next I took it to the bathroom and stuck it to the side of the tub, and it stayed. I actually had to fight to get it back off the tub. Same results when I put it on the lid of the toilet and the sink. Once I found places it would stay, then I tried to figure out the best way to mount the item. As a beginner, I did not think that using it mounted for my first time would be the best bet. And upon trying several positions, I could not find a way to comfortably try to slide onto the toy without causing extreme pain in my legs. It was just very awkward and didn't seem to fit with the design of the toy.

I found the best position for me to try this out was on my back with my legs up in the air. As the size isn't very long, trying to straddle it was not going to happen, and trying it on my knees was next to impossible to be comfortable and reach around to insert it. After I was relaxed enough with my vibrator and doing some rimming to relax myself a bit, I inserted the tip in. Again, I am new to anal, and it was not comfortable for me at all. I managed to get it in as far as the first curve in it and it felt like it was ripping me apart. I took it out, and let the pain go away before trying it again. This time, I turned up my vibrator and tried inserting it again, and let my body relax before trying to move it around again. Once I felt comfortable, I tried sliding it in a bit more and sadly, it was a no go. So instead, I just moved it in and out slightly, up to the curve in the toy and was able to get off that way between it and my vibrator.

This item is something I am going to have to slowly work with to get used to.

This item has sat in my box untouched. I have other toys that I prefer using over this one. I would recommend one that is longer for any type of solo play.
