How Dare You

The Dare Shackles are a disappointing toy marketed for anal play. The beads are just too small, in my opinion, to provide optimal orgasms. The power switch appears to be cheaply manufactured. There doesn't seem to be anything daring about this toy. So, how dare you get our hopes up for this worthless piece of silicone.

Use

Dare Shackles, manufactured by Touche Shots Media, are "manufactured to help you lose all restraint, designed for a new experience, and created for your pleasure and crafted to give you more than 'just' another orgasm" - or at least that is the claim on the companie's website. However, at best, this toy might be enjoyable to someone that is wanting to begin exploring anal orgasms. I consider the balls too small for adequate stimulation.

Material / Texture

Dare Shackles are made from silicone, providing a smooth and velvety texture. I did not notice any particular taste or smell to the toy. I think users of any skill level would enjoy the silky smooth feeling of the toy.

Design / Shape / Size

This toy is a series of varying sizes of spheres, and ends in an egg-shaped bullet. The bullet is supposed to provide clitoral stimulation, but I never quite understood the premise behind that claim. If the balls are too small for anal stimulation, I think they are definitely too small for vaginal pleasure.

The total length of the toy is 9.5 inches. The width varies from 0.5 inches to 1.25 inches. Once again, probably great dimensions for anal virgins, but I cannot fathom this toy providing pleasure to the more experienced in that area.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The power switch seemed flimsy. The switch would not stay in the "on" position. The vibrations are located at the end, enclosed in the egg-shaped bullet. The vibrations were mediocre at best. The sound was not too loud. The sound seemed to fit the level of the vibrations. The toy did work well while submerged.

Care and Maintenance

The toy is made of silicone, so clean-up is a snap. The toy can be disinfected by boiling in water or putting it on the top rack in the dishwasher. Water based lubricants are preferred with silicone. Silicone is not porous, which lends to its smooth texture.

Packaging

Dare shackles is packaged in a contemporary styled black box with clear-view window to see the toy through. This affect is quite appealing with the funky purple color against the back drop of the black box.

You said you can put it into the dishwasher. Is the motor removable? How difficult is it to remove and place back into the toy? Also, are the sizes of the beads in diameter or circumference?

The motor is supposed to be in a removable pack. We could not figure out how to do this. It does not seem to just pop out of the silicon covering and no way to open battery compartment. The dishwasher method is a standard way of disinfecting silicon toys. Unfortunately, that power pack is still a concern.

The sizes are in diameter.
