Moon shine - butt plug discontinued by EdenFantasys - review by ~LaUr3n~

When I fell in love with my first glass plug the Sexy Spades Small, I could not wait to go bigger. BUT, I was a bit intimidated by the jump to the Sexy Spades Medium. So when I saw this bad boy up for grabs and that it was larger, but only slightly, I was thrilled. You REALLY do not need to spend a lot for glass. In my opinion, it is marked up ridiculously. This plug is priced right and while there are minor imperfections, they don't change the fact that this feels great in an ass. The shape is short but traditional and the size makes it good for those who have had a decent amount of anal play (preferably with toys of a harder material). The size will fill for most because of the unforgiving rigidity and looks amazing for all.

The Moon Shine is made of Pyrex tempered glass. Glass is super safe for the body because it is completely non-porous and allergen free. Tempered glass is wonderful medium for retaining temperatures of hot and cold and everything in between. The glass can be heated of or cooled down by placing it in water of the temperature you are trying to achieve. Glass is obviously firm so make sure you can handle softer materials that are LARGER. Glass had hurt or be uncomfortable, especially if you don't size it right. Be careful with it outside of the body as well. Glass becomes super slick when lubed or covered in bodily fluids. If you happen to drop it, make sure you check it for cracks etc. Stop use if this occurs.

The Moon Shine plug has a semi-classic plug shape, especially for glass. It is shaped like a stout spade. The size is great for the anally experienced and adventurous, but not too large that it requires tons of warm up. It is about 3 1/2" tall (shorter than EF's listed measurement), 3" of that is insertable. The bulb itself is 2" long. In those 2" it gradually gets thicker. The thickest part around the bulb is 5 1/8" around. The stem length is about 1 1/8" and the circumference is 3 1/4". The base is flat, round, and 1 3/4" across. The stem is small enough that is keeps the plug securely in (at least for me it does).

Other than size, visually, this looks decent. The color choice is not the best. It reminds me of ketchup and mustard because the messy looking swirls are red and yellow. The red swirl starts at the top and abruptly then the yellow one starts. They stop at the base of the bulb. I swear the clear parts art SLIGHTLY opaque. There are also plenty of imperfections in the form of little bubbles. They don't affect anything other than aesthetics though.

While this is glass and unique for a plug, it still looks...just like a plug. In this way it is not discreet. It also weighs much more, so you will likely notice the weight in a purse, but at least it won't catch any lint.

Glass toys are a horse of a different color in the anal toy world. They don't require as much lubricant, but for me, I need to warm up slightly before using them because the material does not give. For this size, I don't need a whole lot of warm up. Simply being aroused prior to use does wonders for easy insertion. That or just external anal stimulation or a single finger does the trick. One I am lubed up and ready control is key. I SLOWLY insert the plug to allow the sphincters to relax around the stem. If properly relaxed, it does not hurt a bit.

The shape makes insertion fairly easy and comfortable after it is all in. This really stays in! I wish someone made a silicone plug in this shape! I like to have sex wit plugs in, but many fall out or are too hard of a material to be comfortable for my partner or I. This plug is really only for solo use. It is great at that! The initial cool temp feels amazing. The length is perfect for me because it sits right where I like it. I didn't enjoy popping this in and out, but i do enjoy applying pressure to it or placing a vibe of soft material (so it does not clang) at the base so it vibrates inside me.

Pulling it out is just as pleasurable and I swear it never looks dirty. Clean up is so easy!

Like I said, clean up is super easy. Just wash it is hot water and soap or you can boil it for 5-10 minutes to sterilize it. It can even go in your dishwasher for the same result. Any kind of lubricant can be used although you don't need much. You can store it in the pouch it comes in or in one of your own. Keeping it in a padded pouch is a good idea.

The packaging this comes in is kind of lacking. It is a long red and velvet pouch, but it is not padded. The plug comes wrapped in micro size bubble wrap. The pouch is also too long. It can be used for storage if you keep the bubble wrap, otherwise it does not protect much at all.

I am giving the Moon Shine 5 stars. It is not the prettiest glass plug out there, but it goes in your butt, so who the hell cares? It feels great and that's all that matters!
