Prostimulator - prostate massager discontinued by Blush Novelties - review by naughtynerd

The Prostimulator by Blush Novelties is a vibrating prostate massager. Prostate stimulators/massagers are great for male health and feel wonderful when inserted during sex. This is a vibrating prostate stimulator, while you may think that the vibrations would make the experience more interesting, they add very little in this case.

This is not really for beginners, but not really for advanced users either. The tip of the Prostimulator is rather large compared to some of the other toys I have used, making it slightly difficult for me to insert. Overall, with an insertable length of 3 3/4" and a total length of 5", this toy is a decent sized prostate stimulator for intermediate users.

This toy is made of 100% silicone, which is a very body safe material. The feel of this toy is amazing. It is a very soft and silky silicone, with a smooth surface. This toy is very firm, like most silicone toys that I have used. It does have a very slight bendy quality to it near the tip. There is no flex at all where the bullet is. Overall, the Prostimulator has a very nice finish and feel to it.

There are several different "sections" of this toy. First, there is the tip that starts out quite large with a somewhat curved up point that is designed to stimulate the prostate. The second "section" is just below this; it becomes slightly smaller in diameter before hitting the largest section of this toy. The middle is the largest part of this toy. It isn't so large that it is painful, but definitely larger than some of the toys I've been using recently. The final part of this toy is the part near the bottom before the flared base. This part is the thinnest part of the toy. Also, it is the part that contains the vibrating bullet. The size of this section allows it to stay inside with no issues.

The base of this toy is flared, allowing for safe use in your back door. Never once was I worried about it getting pulled in during use. Overall, I felt this toy was actually quite comfortable, and while the intended use is for prostate stimulation, it wouldn't be a bad plug to leave in for an extended period of time.

As I stated earlier in my review, I have quite a bit to say about the performance of this product.

First of all, let's talk about the vibrations, or should I say lack there of. The vibrator in the Prostimulator is so weak I could hardly tell it was there. My first thought was "Oh, it must be the batteries", but after digging around for a while looking for those goofy LR44 batteries that this toy uses, I only managed to find 3. This toy uses a whopping 4! After replacing batteries it was still very weak; I was not impressed with it outside of me. But, there was still a chance for it to be good inside, so I didn't let this get me down. I thought that it would be great when it was inside; that was not the case. It was just so weak that it didn't really do much. It was almost more annoying than stimulating. With the 7 different vibrating functions of this toy (low, medium, high, and 4 patterns), I thought I'd give some of the patterns a shot. The patterns made the vibration noticeable, but didn't do much for me. Now, I might just not be into vibrating anal toys, and since this was my first one I might not be the best to judge.





The control is a simple push button that is easy to use when the toy was not inserted, but the button was difficult to find and in a very awkward position when the toy is inserted, I'm not sure how this could be changed, but it was just my thought. Another thing to note, to turn off the toy you must run thru all 7 settings and then off. If you hit the button again, to turn the toy on, you will start back at the lowest power level.

If we take a moment and ignore the vibrations in the toy, and look at it as a normal plug or prostate stimulator, it isn't terrible. The material is great, the shape is decent, and the size gives a decent full feeling. The base on this toy is one of the most comfortable bases I have felt, the flair is a nice shape that sits between your cheeks without pain, and it is great for longer wear. In the end, I may just end up using this toy as a plug without the vibrations.

This toy is very simple to take care of as it is pure silicone. Personally, I found it did not take much effort at all to clean. I just used some hot water and toy cleaner, but you could use soap and water or a 10% bleach solution if you so choose. One thing to note, the vibrating bullet in the toy is waterproof, but not submersible. Therefore it is good practice to take the vibrating bullet out of the insertable plug part of the toy in order to clean it. Once the bullet is taken out, you can clean the plug however you wish. To clean the bullet, I removed the batteries and tightened the battery cover quite tight, next I just took some anti-bacterial soap and rinsed it off under warm water. Being that this toy is silicone, you must take care to not use silicone-based lubes. Only use water-based lube with this toy. If this toy is well cleaned there should be no problem with sharing the toy.

The only thing that is a bit annoying about silicone is that it attracts dust. And, it does a great job at that. A quick rinse before each use to get lint and dust off is all it needs, and then it's ready to go.

This toy was packaged in a very easy to open clamshell plastic plastic, and had a very simple cardboard insert with some basic instructions on it. I would not recommend this package for storing the toy, as after a while it would surely break.
