Ringed rattler - probe discontinued by PHS International - review by Lil

I didn't realize this was a glass toy when I first selected it but I decided to try it anyway because I'd never used a glass toy before. I'm partial to rubber and silicone mostly. I was feeling a little intimidated about this rigid, cold glass piece I was expecting but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it would be a lot bigger and fortunately it was the perfect size for me, kind of a medium thickness and length. Then I noticed how cold it was in my hand and knowing how sensitive I can be I was worried that it wouldn't be comfortable. I found that I like to warm it up in my hand for a minute but after that the slight cold sensation was satisfactory for me and a little exciting. I also thought the stiffness of the glass would make it hard to insert but I actually found it easier to use because it was glass and had no friction like silicone does.

I didn't need to use lubricant, making this a great on-the-go toy. The shape is very voluptuous and I felt it might be a little too much for me but it wasn't at all. I found the curves and grooves very comfortable and intense. I enjoyed the overall feel of the toy and thought that the glass elements added to my pleasure, because it provided stiffness and force that softer materials don't. The whole toy felt great and convinced me that glass toys are really up my ally. The best part was cleanup, everything just washed right off, no digging into ridges with my fingernails like some of my ribbed silicone toys need.

I've had problems with silicone toys in the past being unsafe or unsanitary to use due to design, but the glass makes me feel safe and secure in that way. I won't have to worry about it getting damaged or collecting bacteria with proper washing.

My other favorite feature is the ring at the end. This was a perfect handhold for both me and my partner. When using it myself it was easy to reach and comfortable to use. I didn't feel like I had to twist myself arm or wrist to reach the toy, it also serves as a good stopping/end point for the toy. When using it with my partner I felt like it get him greater flexibility so he could twist and turn it without difficulty. Also, I was worried his fingers may not fit through the ring, but it's a great size and that wasn't an issue at all. We both loved using it.

Although, my one big flag on this is that while I was using it I was laying down and I sat up to change positions. This was a horrible idea. I had the toy all the way in and because it's glass, it wasn't as forgiving as my other toys and I felt like it was splitting me in half. It was very uncomfortable, but this was largely my fault. Otherwise, I had a great experience and I will be incorporating this toy into usual usage and certainly be on the look out for more glass toys.
