Industrial Strength Fun (video review)
The Fun Wand is a luxurious toy that's as fun to look at as it is to use. Solid stainless steel, it's excellent for both g-spot stimulation and anal play, the curve easily giving you the best angle for the best sensations.Published: November 27, 2009
Pros:
Steel, slender, multiple textures, sterilizable, luxurious packaging
Cons:
May be a bit too slim for some, a little pokey on the ends
Njoy products always strike me as being very industrial, both in looks and strength. The Fun Wand is no exception. Eight inches of cold, hard steel. Nearly a pound in weight despite it's slim, one inch diameter at it's largest point. Gleaming stainless with elegant curves and bulges.
Lovely. Njoy toys are just lovely.
The Fun Wand excels as both a g-spot toy and an anal toy. It's dual sided, each side curving gracefully into stimulating steel balls. One side, the larger side, is very similar to the small end of the Pure Wand; a curved shaft that bulges out into a single 1 inch ball. The other side, the smaller side, curves and tapers into three, graduated balls ranging in size from 1 inch to .75 inches. The shaft itself is around a half inch in diameter.
The single ball side is excellent for g-spot stimulation and mimics the smaller side of the Pure Wand well - making it a terrific choice for anyone who may want a Pure Wand but likes a slimmer, less girthy toy. The single ball end is also super for anal play, though I prefer the triple ball end as the sensation of each ball popping in or out is phenomenal.
Unfortunately, I have a difficult time manipulating it myself and it wasn't super comfortable using it with a partner. It felt good but as it's completely firm with no give at all and slightly pointed at the end, I kept feeling like his vigorous thrusting was going to hurt me somehow. Moral of the story? Use caution when thrusting this unyielding toy into someone else's orifices! (Your own too, of course, though that's much easier to do)
Thrusting is easy with the Fun Wand as the curve angles the balls to rub in just the right spots with minimal motion; I've found a rocking, small thrust works just as well if not better than rapid, deep thrusting.
Steel can be shared easily, either between people or orifices, as it can be sterilized. Boil, dishwash or bleach it and you're good as new. If you're not sharing, a simple soap and water wash is fine.
Any lube is acceptable and I prefer silicone with my Njoy toys, though water or oil based will work just fine, as well.
Packaging is luxurious and elegant. Njoy toys come in a black, hard sided, hinged box that opens to reveal a hot pink satin liner with an indent formed specifically to fit the toy that belongs in the box.
Overall, I liked the Fun Wand but much prefer the Pure Wand for it's girth and heavier weight. The Fun Wand is ideal, however, for those looking for a more slender toy or something that even a beginner could manage anally.

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
I have to admit it -- I ended up swapping the Fun Wand. It's a lovely toy and those who like it really, really like it. For me it was just too pokey and oddly shaped for anal play on my own and too difficult for my partner to use on me. For me it was the curve that made it awkward. I think I'd have liked it had it been a straight wand or a c curve. The s curve, however? Eh, not so much.

Njoy Fun Wand vs Pure Wand
-
PersianKittyThis question is for anyone who may happen to already own both. I already have a Pure Wand and *love* it, esp the big end. Is it worthwhile for me to also buy the Fun Wand, or is it just more of the same? I know the beaded side would offer different sensations, but most people who review the Fun Wand seem to favor the other end, and it looks so much like the Pure Wand that I'm not sure if I should get one, or not. Thanks! -
We have both and almost never use the Fun Wand - especially since we got the Eleven - it's either the Pure Wand or Eleven - never the Fun Wand.

DavyBQuote: Do u think this toys is good for experimenting with anal?Steel is awesome for experimenting with anal and with the Fun Wand you can ease yourself into it with the little beads...or use the slightly larger end. And the nice thing about stainless steel is that you can sterilize it! -
OxikortI've used all the Njoy toys...and I LOVE the Fun Wand! I'd even run into a burning building to save mine. :)
