I love glass toys because they can be warmed or cooled, and each sensation is intriguing for different people. Personally, I like either. Glass also means it cleans fairly easily and doesn't hold bacteria the way other toys can.

The Icicles No. 2 was the first glass dildo I purchased, and it has remained a favorite of mine for various reasons.

First, the shape allows me to get creative with my penetration. I can use the slimmer end to warm me up, and then later use the larger end for more intense pleasure. Plus, this baby is long. It hits my cervix and feels great going all the way in.

The bulbs on the dildo are not too big to hurt, and as I said before, the slimmer end is good because it allows newer users to build up to the larger end.

I am fond of the ease of use. It cleans easily, though I think the spaces between the bulbs deserve a little more soapy attention. Still, not hard to clean at all, and you can sterilize it in the top-rack of a dishwasher.

Because it's glass, it needs to have solid durability. I've dropped it a few times on accident, and while it was on carpet it was still from a high height. The thing still hasn't broken, chipped, or cracked. Obviously be careful, but this is well-designed and thick--it's not really fragile, which is a blessing.

I do wish there had been more color choices for this design. It's awesome and I know it's supposed to imitate the color of an icicle, but even a sheer blue would look gorgeous. I would also love a pearly opalescent white, if they make glass rods in that color.

Finally, I recommend this toy because of its ease of use, double-ended awesomeness, and sturdiness. It's a great starter glass dildo because it still gives good sensations while it's not too textured like some other dildos out there. If you're new to the glass dildo market, and looking for a simple but multi-use dildo, this is the one!
