Juli Ashton anal beginner sex toy review

Overall not a bad kit. Good to use as preparation for anal activities so one does not undergo a lot of pain or discomfort the first time.

This kit comes with three butt plugs of increasing size, a very large vibrator, and a small bottle of Doc Johnson's water-based anal lube.

I got this kit in response to most of my male lovers' begging for anal sex|Beginner anal kits. I have always found it a highly intimidating idea. Men tend to get a bit over-excited, and the idea of working up to anal sex from a small butt plug is a bit difficult for them to handle. Obliging their requests right away would have been scary and probably pretty painful. This kit allowed me to see if I would actually enjoy the act of anal sex without getting anyone worked up, only to disappoint them if I did not like it or could not handle the pain associated with anal penetration. The kit let me get used to anal in small steps, at my own pace.

The small butt plug is tiny (only 4.25" x 1") and very gentle. It is made of pink rubber. It is not at all intimidating. It's very soft and does not hurt very much, even the first time. The small plug was very good to just get accustomed to the idea of anal sex, and get comfortable with the slight pain that comes with it.

The medium sized plug is wider but not any longer than the first (4.75"x1"). It is also made of the soft pink rubber. Again, not very intimidating; it was very giving and a good transition for when I was ready to move up from the itty-bitty one.

The large butt plug is longer and wider than the first two (5" x 1.5"). It seems to be a lot bigger, but the step up was not as scary or painful as I expected it to be. It went surprisingly easy from the first to the third largest butt plug.

The vibrator, on the other hand, was quite large and incredibly scary. The jump between the largest butt plug and the vibrator is not at all minuscule. I have not been able to convince myself that it would be a good idea to use this size vibrator for getting comfortable with anal play, especially considering the small sizes of the butt plugs. I do not think the size jump is a sensible one, perhaps something a bit smaller in a self-described "anal-beginner" kit|Juli Ashton anal beginner - Anal kit by Doc Johnson would make more sense. I would have preferred a vibrator or butt plug that is more like the size of a typical male for my initiation into anal.

The anal lube that comes with the kit is nothing spectacular, but works fine for its intended purposes.

The toys are very easy to clean. Soap and water works just as well as a toy cleaner|Rubba glow spray - Sex Toy Cleaners (as long as it is rubber safe), at least for the battery-free pieces in the kit.

Storage is typical for any toys of this size, except that there are a few pieces to hide instead of just one. I am not a huge fan of the incredible amount of PINK.
