Triple ripple royal - butt plug discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by ambitious1

Let me first say that this is a toy for advanced anal users, or for those looking to work up to being an advanced anal user. This is a 3 bulge butt plug that in my opinion functions more as an anal dilator than a butt plug. As said before, I would say this toy is best used for those who are looking to get into advanced anal activities, but aren't quite there yet. Its graduated bulges function well for stretching and working your way up. The base gives a good handle, and although this can be used solo, it will be easier with a partner. As I said before, it functions more like a dilator than a butt plug in my opinion, as the toy will not stay in your ass if left to its own device. The neck just simply isn't narrow enough.

The material is rubber, which means that this toy is porous. This means that a condom should be used to protect the toy.

There seems to be a separate material comprising the inside and outside of the toy, and you can easily tell the plug is almost squishy. Not too squishy, but enough to give a little give for insertion. This is a good thing by all accounts, as it is a large toy, and an anal stretching toy should give a little leeway in insertion.

This is a very smooth toy as well which really helps insertion yet again.

Another thing to note is that the toy does have an odor to it, although it is not very strong.

First thing to note about this toy is that the largest diameter is 2 3/8 inches. This is very large, so make sure that you are ready to get to this level. However, the way that the toy is designed is to allow you to get up to this level. There are a few snags though. The first snag is that the 1st bulge is very small compared to the 2nd bulge. Getting over the 2nd bulge is much more difficult than it had to be, and if the last bulge was a bit larger, I think it wouldn't have been as much of an issue. The second issue is that the 3rd bulge is nearly the same size as the 2nd bulge. So in some respects, this toy is almost a 2 bulge toy and not a 3 bulge toy. The move from 2nd bulge to 3rd bulge is almost negligible, and I would guess is maybe a difference of 1/8 inch difference in diameter. The final issue I have with this toy is that for being labeled a plug, this plug will not stay in as the neck is nearly the same size as the bulge. So all in all, this is a good anal dilator, but it could have been a little better. However, keeping in mind the price associated with this product, I find these issues hardly condemning.

As stated in the title, this toy is functional. It does what it is intended to do, stretch you for more advanced anal play. However, there is still pleasure to be had from this toy, in and of itself. One benefit of the toys girth is that the toy will press heavily on your prostate, which I find to be quite enjoyable.

Overall, there are a few aspects that could have been better, but they are not significant.

When it comes to care and maintenance, just remember that this is a rubber toy. Use a condom, and wash it thoroughly as it will hold bacteria. As for washing itself, there are no particular rules, just use soap and water.

Storage of this toy is simple. Just put it down somewhere, there are no particular rules on storage.
