Like a Lollipop for Your Butt
For the price, this little butt plug rocks my world. While its not my favorite plug to wear during sex, I love it for extended wear.Published: May 24, 2009
Pros:
Comfortable, quality materials, affordable price.
Cons:
Raised seam, large handle may seem overwhelming on a small frame.
I spent a long time contemplating whether to give the Love Pacifier Advanced four or five stars. In the grand scheme of sex toys it's not a five star product, but in the less-than-grand scheme of sex toys under $20, I think it is awesome.
I was first attracted to the Love Pacifier because it has the same ingenious looking shape as the Njoy Pure plugs, for a small fraction of the price. I still covet the beautiful, stainless steel Pure plugs, but I've come to appreciate the Love Pacifier for its own sake.
Even though I own a number of butt plugs, which I enjoy using during sex, this is the only one that I enjoy using for extended wear. I attribute this to the thin, flexible neck on this toy. I get just a mild feeling of fullness and stretch, which feels good for hours while walking around and sitting down.
The Love Pacifier does have a few imperfections. Previous reviewers have complained that the softness of the neck makes insertion difficult, and my boyfriend agrees. It is true that it would be nice if you could use the generous, ring-shaped handle for insertion. On the other hand, the neck would have to be much stiffer and I think the flexibility is a huge part of what makes the plug so comfortable. I also find that the plug is easy enough to insert by grasping the neck at the base of the head.
Other reviewers have also expressed concern about the size of the ring shaped handle. It is large, but if it were smaller I would be concerned about letting it slip all the way in. I have used this plug during vaginal penetration by my boyfriend, and while it is not the most stimulating plug we own for this purpose, he has never had a problem rubbing up against the handle.
As I mentioned, I like this plug for extended wear and I have worn it out of the house under pants with no problem. The handle does stick out a bit, but not so much as to be obvious under my fitted, but not tight jeans. I should point out though, that I'm not a small person. I'm 5'9 with plenty of padding on my rear, so it could be that the handle would be more obvious on a smaller frame.
Personally, my least favorite thing about this little butt plug is the seam that runs latterly along the entire length of the plug. I prefer a nice smooth entry with anal toys. The seam isn't terrible, but I do notice it, and it does require extra care in cleaning when you are done playing. Fortunately, silicone is easy to clean up.
But really, the Love Pacifier is just an adorable toy. Mine is a bright cherry red color, and cute as a button. For the price, I would recommend this little plug to anyone wanting an extremely comfortable plug for whatever reason. You can easily find more filling plugs. I like the Ryder during sex, for example. Every time I try to think of a way to improve the Love Pacifier for comfortable extended wear, though, I barely come up with anything safe and/or practical.
So check it out already. If nothing else, it could be the perfect fun addition to an order that needs just one more item for free shipping. You know you love the free shipping!

Thoughts on how to get rid of that seam?
-
I know the seam is a bother for some people who have this, so I was trying to think of a way to fix it. Sanding it, even if you sand it with a very fine grit, would leave scratches, which could gather bacteria... So I'm stumped. Maybe melting it slightly at the seam and smoothing it down while still hot? I'm not sure how silicone reacts to that.
I guess you could also take a straight edge razor to it and shave it off.
If anyone else has suggestions, that would be awesome :) -
If it's pure silicone it will not melt with fire.

Ah the dreaded seam. :@
I always start by trying to grab it and pull it off depending on how big it is. My Ridge Rider had a bunch around the ridges that easily pulled right off.
The only thing I have found to work is a brand new razor blade (Scalpel is better) and a careful hand. Problem is it is to easy to cut into the rest of the toy. The seam will try and fold over requiring more pressure. Once it does start to cut, you have gone to far. :(
If you have a Dremel with a small sanding attachment that may work a bit better than sandpaper. But like you say it will leave scratches that could be worse than the seam. Thankfully silicone is non porous throughout so you would just need to make sure to clean those areas good. A old toothbrush works great.
Fire from a lighter typically will not melt it. Even if it did it may leave it hard and probably rough.
You really have to decide if the seam is a bother or if you can live with it. In the case of the Pacifier, I can not feel it during use so I left it alone.

Thank you for viewing Love pacifier advanced – butt plug review page!

Heh, I really like your title "Like a Lollipop for Your Butt".
Would you recommend this toy for a first time anal plug user? And, how do you clean this?
Thanks Lovers Love,
I would not, not recommend this toy for a fist timer, if that makes any sense. It just depends on too many factors to say. For the true anal virgin or the very nervous, there are probably plugs/probes that would make a smoother entry. For someone with some anal play experience looking for an inexpensive first plug, I think this would be a fine choice. Of course, there are also more filling plugs like the Ryder I mentioned that provide more sensation during sex, but don't actually have a larger diameter. It's just a very personal choice.
This does look a lot like the njoy ones, except for the handle shape. Too bad it has a seam.
Good review!
Nice review.
great review, wanna try it out too
That's a good point about the flexible handle making it more comfortable for extended wear.
Great review!
