L'amour probe beginner - anal probe by Cal Exotics - review by Danielle915

The L'Amour probe is a 100% silicone anal probe for beginners. When I first got this as an assignment I have to admit that I was not excited especially since my husband and I are not beginners in the world of probes but decided to give it a try anyway.

When I got this in the mail I opened up the box to find a tiny little plastic box with purple writing on it. It also has a hole on top of the box to possibly hang it in a sex toy store. The box is transparent and you could see the probe through the front. I got the purple one and it is phthalate free and made of 100% silicone. It has no detectable smell or taste. It is a body safe material and is completely non porous. It is very bendable and flexible so it will bend with your body. It has a very velvety matte texture to it so lubricant is recommended.

This probe is very small and would be great for beginners in the anal probe world, but for us it was just too small. It is 4 inches long with a 1 1/4 inch diameter. It has a bit of a swirly shape to it with some straight texture down the sides. It also has a suction cup bottom. For me, this seemed pointless because of the small size. The suction cup does hold up well and will stick to pretty much anything, and does take A LOT of effort to take it off of whatever it is stuck to.

Cleaning is a breeze and can be done with warm soap and water. Be sure to clean this before and after every use. As far as lubricant goes, only water based can be used. Other lubricants could break down the silicone material so to avoid ruining the integrity of the material, PLEASE ONLY WATER BASED LUBES! You should store this in a toy bag or even the packaging it came in to avoid it getting dirty because it does attract lint and dust particles.

We did try using this and while inserting it anally it felt very nice, but once in we barely even knew it was there. Like I said before, its too small for us. If it had a little more girth, it would have been fine. We do love the design though and will be trying the more advanced sizes.
