Looks Are Not Everything...

The Love Prism looks lovely, but looks are not everything. This toy has such a unique and creative design. I had to own it. It doesn't work well for me though. I'm not huge into hard toys and this one is rock hard. I was not expecting that! It also does not bend. If you like textured or oddly shaped glass toys, this one might be for you.

Use

When I first got into toys, looks were my main motivator for getting things. I wasn't yet well educated on shape, design, materials, etc. The Love Prism was one of those toys that I always wanted. I thought the diamond design was so damn cool. This has got to be one of thee worst things I have attempted to stick in my ass and enjoy. It's actually better as a vaginal probe, but for someone who is often bored by just vaginal dildos and probes alone, this bored me to near death. But by golly geewilikers, it is pretty! I have this probe in two colors. Both are gorgeous to look at. After experimenting, they might as well just try to look like art pieces. They are not fooling me with their ass toy act.

Material / Texture

The Love Prism is made of the hardest jelly I have ever encountered for a toy. If it weren't for the slight bend it can have, I would have guessed it was acrylic or plastic. There is no give unlike what the package claims. An upside to this is that it doesn't collect dust, lint, or hair like other jelly does. It is smooth and not sticky, but it still has a bad smell. This smell wasn't "normal" for jelly either. It smells more like cheap toys that might come out of a 25 cent machine-toys that are probably on some recall list. The jelly is of course porous and needs a condom to be safely shared. The design doesn't work well with a condom though.

I have both the pink and the purple colored versions of this product. The pink looks exactly like the pictures, but the purple does not. The purple one looks blue in the pictures, but it is much more Easter purple-like in reality. Both are very pretty to look at. Sometimes they look like glass since the surface is mostly free of blemishing.

Design / Shape / Size

The Love Prism is shaped like, well, a prism. Three to be exact. They all connect to each other one on top of the other. It is 8 1/4" long. The first prism has a small pointy tip, is 2" long, and 2 3/4" around the widest point. The second is 2 3/4" long and 3 3/4" around. The last is 3 3/4" long and 4" around. The end one tapers enough before it to be safe for anal in my opinion. I never wanted to go that far though. This also means that this probe is actually quite short for anal. That might disappoint some users. The different prisms might feel great for some users if used vaginally. For me, it didn't work so well but worked even worse anally. Again, this might be personal preference, but I really think most people won't be thrilled with this.

I would say that this toy is really discreet. Not only does it not look like one, it really does not feel like one to a novice either. It is also decent for travel because it is thin and doesn't pick up lint.

Performance

If you have not figured it out already...I didn't like this much. I lubed it up and was a bit nervous to try it. Anticipating a much more flexible toy, I figured this might be a tad uncomfortable. I wasn't loving the pointy tip especially since this toy does not bend. I could only bare to go to the second prism without inserting it. It was easy to insert though, just not pleasant enough for me to be aroused. Sometimes a bit of pain can be tolerated, but this just was a bit too much for me.

Vaginally, I flipped it around. The largest prism felt okay, but thrusting was just boring. It is a bit too thin for it. I did enjoy twirling the largest prism in me, but that is where the pleasure ends. It doesn't feel good on the nipples or the clit. I will tell you that looks carry over here too. It looks awesome against skin and shallowly inserted. I took pictures with it, like I do with most of my toys. These pictures are very interesting and pretty!

After all of that, I would like to recommend this toy to women who really like hard toys, and more importantly, interesting ones. This is a unique tool for sure.

Care and Maintenance

To clean this you can use warm water and soap. It cannot be sterilized so sharing is not a good idea especially since condoms don't stay on easily. You can use water or silicone based lubricants with this toy. A plus is that it does not seem to soak them up easily. I only needed a little for each end. Storing in a plastic bag or the original package does just fine. If you store it without or in a plastic bag, make sure that no other toys are close neighbors too it. While this jelly does not feel typical, it probably will melt just like other toys of similar material.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The package is a simple plastic, snap to close case. It is slightly larger than the toy and makes for good storage. The package insert is lacking in information though. It doesn't even say much about what it is supposed to be used for. The material is not discussed either. Inside the insert (it folds in half) are some other products from Doc Johnson. Other than that, you are on your own!
    • Good for storage
    • Recyclable

Personal comments

While it is advertised as an anal probe on Eden, the package doesn't specify what kind of "tool" this is.

Experience

I did enjoy having one tool for both anal and vaginal without having to use a condom to cover previously charted territory, but the sensations were not up to par.
Follow-up commentary
This toy is simply too firm for me. The shape was not my cup of tea either. I imagine that some people may like this toy, but I didn't really enjoy it much at all.
