Love pacifier teardrop...drops the ball
There are much better toys sold at Eden Fantasys made for prostate massage. They might be a little bit more expensive, but its worth spending a little more money for a more exciting experience.Published: August 19, 2008

Shape allows easy insertion for those inexperienced with anal toys. Reasonably priced.

Seam down center of toy causes irritation. Does not provide much pressure on the prostate.
For my first review, I had the opportunity to test the Love pacifier teardrop Prostate massager by California Exotic. I was attracted to the sexy shape of this product versus other prostate massagers on the market and was excited to give this toy a try. Unfortunately, the excitement turned to disappointment very quickly.
Eden Fantasys got the product to me very quickly and discreetly. The Love Pacifier was neatly packaged and in great condition when it arrived. Having some experience with prostate massagers, my first impression of the Teardrop was that it was very tiny. The toy is manufactured from TPR Silicone which should be cleaned before and after each use with the warm water and antibacterial toy cleaner or mild soap [Editor's note: this toy is porous, so cover when sharing]. The insertable portion of the product is firm and has a small amount of give to it, and the shape does make for easy insertion. The Love Pacifier Teardrop does have a seam down the center. The material does attract lint and has some tackiness to it.
I tested the product both solo and with a partner. To be perfectly honest, the massager did not perform the task in which it was designed to do. I did not feel any pressure on my prostate what so ever. It does provide interesting sensations when contracting the sphincter which was somewhat pleasurable. The design of the Teardrop definitely keeps it locked in place even during some of the roughest sex positions. During sex, I actually found the teardrop to take away from my sensations rather than intensifying the sensations as other massagers do. In addition, the seam on the toy caused some irritation. The resulting orgasms were not nearly at the intensity level that I expected. Both solo, and with a partner the teardrop was a disappointment. I give this product 1 out of 5 stars.
In conclusion, the product did not perform as expected. If you are in the market for a prostate massager that delivers... steer clear of the Love Pacifier Teardrop.

After giving this toy a few more tries, with dismal results, its fell to the bottom of the drawer never to be seen again. I can't really see myself using this toy again.

Comfort level of hard (plastic) "prostate massager"?

I'm looking for a comparison between this and say the softer silicone anal toys (ie. "butt hungry").

For a first toy, I'd probably pick a more gentle-looking shape. I was fine with a hard toy at first, but it was the Pure Plug (like a really smooth strawberry-shape). Also I'm kind of against putting lower-rated materials in there, I stick to glass, metal, and silicone for anal toys.
That says TPR Silicone, which I believe is fairly flexible. If you're looking for a hard toy, I think something like the Emerald Explorer looks best (it's $25 and glass). -

Congrats on your first review, good job describing this toy. Nice to know that its looks betray its lack of performance.
Too bad it didn't work out very well for you. That seam sounds horrid, wonder if it could be filed down or trimmed a little bit? Anyways, I have to agree with you completely that it is usually worth it to spend a little more on a quality toy. I've found with personal experience that California Exotics is a hit or miss brand. Some of their toys are great, some of them really suck.

Bulma- I would have to say that I enjoy the Aneros Progasm Prostate Massager over most I have tried.
Aw, I'm torn now. I've read reviews where the new pacifiers are great and others where they down right suck.
