This sex toy really presented me with a conundrum when I set out to review it, for my first impressions of it were somewhat unfavorable. It didn't help any that the sample I had been provided to test came in a variation of what can only be described, were it a lipstick color, as Jungle Red; a color that for a former U.S. Marine such as myself was about as sexy and manly as a lace teddy.

The fact that it also came without instructions was a bit of a problem for me and the boyfriend and, I might add, a bit embarrassing as well since we both consider ourselves fairly experienced butt play practitioners. However, this initial "problem" we would find would work itself out with just a bit of practice.

The Luna is a fairly average length and less than average width butt plug, but its design and shape is where it differs from most plugs on the market.

Like many prostate massagers on the market today, the Luna is not of a straight shape or design, but is actually shaped more like a hand crank on an old model T car and is of varying thickness along its business end. This design is intended to maximize the stimulation of the prostate while imparting a sense of fullness while the anal plug is in place and this the Luna does quite well. Its shape also serves to help keep you from expelling the butt plug when you cum; a not uncommon problem for many who like to use butt plugs in play.

My initial problems with not having instructions had simply to do with what constituted up and down on the part that you insert, but this is an issue that is easily worked out according to ones own anatomy and experience level. After several play session with the Luna, both the boyfriend and I found that we both liked inserting it exactly the opposite of each other, but that once in it was tons of fun to twist around (or have someone with whom you were playing twist around for you!).

After about five or six sessions with the Luna, both of us really warmed to it and found that unlike many butt plugs on the market, once it is inside you, it doesn't require a great deal of additional movement to produces a high degree of stimulation.

Where the Luna really shines though is during solo use and is at its very best if you are seated - say at a computer watching porn - and then all you need to do is move your butt just a bit and the Luna will do the rest, stimulating the prostate and helping to produce heavy orgasms.

After extensive testing of the Luna I'd have to say that my only real complaint with it - aside from the Jungle Red color that we had for our test model - is that the stem leading off from the base and up to the working end of the plug seems just a bit too flexible. But that may just be that I tend to try to put these things through their paces when I use them. That, and the fact that its shape as a prostate massager makes it less than perfect for sticking in your butt and wearing out in public for long periods of time constitute the only real issues I have with the Luna and they are minor ones.

The Luna is a terrific little anal sex toy and one I'd recommend for anyone from a novice to an expert.
